Do you know the truth?
nickthe truth is in the spirit of God's word (scriptures) if you did not find it ,it is because you were not looking for it ,

You always satisfy your own expectations.
It is in your nature to do so.
But how much is true?
All of it, according to the God-inspired scriptures.Hey, don't blame me because you USED TO understand this stuff, but then the word “conceived” caused you to stumble, and start IGNORING nearly 50% of the scriptural teachings about Jesus.
You now only believe HALF of what is said about Jesus, but that is no fault of mine, or of scripture.
May 28, 2014 at 11:48 pm#385221NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
I am sure you can see a lot of scripture in a different light to spiritual truth when you put on those thick glassesMay 28, 2014 at 11:48 pm#385222mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 27 2014,22:07) Hi MB,
Or you could name the thread
“How to not understand what Jesus is trying to teach and still devise a reasonable dogma”
Well there ya go, Nick!Even YOU acknowledge that my doctrine is “reasonable”.
What about yours? Well, you believe the Holy Spirit of Anointing (or whatever) had his own will, but then came down from heaven to do God's will instead.
You believe this Spirit has flesh, and that people SAW him ascend back up to heaven with their human eyes.
So MINE is “reasonable”. Yours? Not so much.
Come on over to the side of reason, Nick. You say you used to dwell here. It's time for you to move back home.
May 28, 2014 at 11:49 pm#385223NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Your basis is reason so it must seem ok to you.May 28, 2014 at 11:50 pm#385224NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
.Matthew 16:7
And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread..Matthew 16:8
Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?May 28, 2014 at 11:50 pm#385225mikeboll64BlockedAnd yours is apparently nonsense – as OPPOSED to the reason of mine.
And that apparently seems okay to YOU.
May 28, 2014 at 11:53 pm#385226mikeboll64BlockedNick,
Did the “Holy Spirit of Anointing” come down from heaven to do God's will, INSTEAD OF HIS OWN?
Did this Spirit tell people they must eat of his FLESH?
Did he tell them they would SEE him ascend to where he was before?
See? Pure and utter NONSENSE. Come back to the side of reason. You once belonged here. Who made you pack up and move out? Satan?
The one who is with us is stronger than that one, Nick. You can fight him with God's help. Just tell him you're moving back home, and there's nothing he can do about it anymore, okay?
May 29, 2014 at 12:06 am#385229NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Indeed the Spirit of Christ always serves God.
The flesh of Jesus was not eaten but the words of the Spirit.
And after being made flesh in Christ Jesus the Spirit ascended to God againsatan does not lead those reborn of that Spirit.
The Word was with God and was God.

John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but to do the will of him who sent me.1. Nick, does this “spirit” you talk about have HIS OWN WILL, like a person?
John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.2. Nick, does this “spirit” you talk about have FLESH?
John 6:62
Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!3. Nick, Can this “spirit” you talk about be SEEN by human eyes?
4. Nick, is this “spirit” you talk about called “the Son of Man”?
5. Nick, who did the God-inspired writer of John 6 attribute all those words to? What is the NAME of the person who said all of those words I quoted?

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.May 29, 2014 at 7:29 am#385335terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 29 2014,12:31) Hi T,
The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
N“the word ” is Christ and was made /became/took the cover of flesh ,
Jn 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16NLT ©
Christ is the one through whom God created everything in heaven and earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see––kings, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities. Everything has been created through him and for him.Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Jn 1:11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
Jn 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
Jn 1:13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Jn 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jn 1:15 John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ ”
Jn 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
Jn 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Jn 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.Col 1:20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
Funny……….Now I don't see that word “IN”.
So I guess your first statement ISN'T actually said in any scripture, and your second statement – WITHOUT that added word “IN” – is the correct one.
So, did the Word come to be IN flesh? Or did the Word BECOME flesh?
There is a big difference, so it's best to get it right, Nick.
For example:
1. The Holy Spirit came to be IN David.
2. The Holy Spirit BECAME David.
See? A BIG difference between the two. If the scriptures say the first one, it's not good or right to teach the second one.
