Ed, this statement was recorded by John in 96 C.E.  Apparently, Jesus hadn't yet come at that time – which was way after Pentecost.

1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

Paul warned us against people like you, Ed.  Why would you want to put yourself in the position of being one of those apostates warned AGAINST in the Bible?

Hi Mike, Rev 22:7 & 12 are both references to “The Day of The LORD”, not references to “Pentecost.

Rev 22:7,12 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.  

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
