In response to some frustration out there about a member who posts with one liners, I decided to create this group discussion, to see if a conversation can work with one or 2 lines and only using scripture.
I will start with a scripture in the next post and remember replies must be brief and only scripture. It doesn't have to be exact as citing a scripture will do.
Mike, what does that have to do with the conversation??

Well that didn't work.Nor will it, because no one here is SAYING anything. They are like parrots reading off scripture, without any of the one-liners making any point.
WHAT ARE WE ALL TALKING ABOUT HERE, PEOPLE? WHAT LESSON ARE YOU TEACHING THE REST OF US, SHIMMER?
(That previous post was a joke, but it is the kind of simple response that annoys me and doesn't help or really mean anything.)

Sometimes it helps to just focus on the words of Scripture, and one thing leads into another.Jesus said: “The words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life”.
There are times it totally covers it to respond simply with a verse from scripture, but even then it is hard to get the point across without some explanation.
Sorry scripture only: Proverbs 18:17 The first person to speak always seems right until someone comes and asks the right questions.

Yes Wm,Like when someone says, “There is no scripture that says this!” Then it is ample to post the scripture that DOES say it, or to even just post the Book, chapter, and verse of that scripture.
But if someone claims there is no hell, then saying, “Isn't it better to believe scriptures over our own logic?” doesn't help in the least. It only irritates, IMO.
All, I apologise about my post to Mike first page (I had a feeling not to post it, so I'm learning a lot from things like this).
