Quote (Not3in1 @ June 06 2008,08:01) I don't think a women would make a good President. T8 and Nick, didn't I hear you have a female President/Minister? How is that working out?
I just think they are too emotional. Can you see Hiliary having to make a quick press conference…….would their be a make-up and hair styist standing near by? Goodness….
Besides, the Word tells us that the man is the head of the women.
I am a conservative and very much a Republican. But tell you the truth, this year, I do not know what I am going to do. My Husband does not vote, He said He is leaving that up to God. I truly believe it is our responsibility as a Citizen. I voted for Hackebee in the Primary.
I am going to see who Mc.Cain is chooses for a running Mate. Then I will see, if I am going to vote or not.
Love IreneJune 5, 2008 at 9:16 pm#91414Not3in1ParticipantIt's funny, my parents were Democrats back in the Jimmy Carter era when a Democrat stood for very much what the Republican party does now. If my parents were alive, they wouldn't be caught dead voting Democratic now.
June 5, 2008 at 9:45 pm#91422NickHassanParticipantOK we need a thread with a mirror where the US citizens can preen themselves?
June 5, 2008 at 9:59 pm#91425CatoParticipantRegardless of ideology I don't see how a man in his mid 40s with only two years in the Senate, and no executive experience is picked for a US presidential nomination.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in fait and in purity.I tend to think Obama would do alright. How old was Kennedy?

IreneI agree with you. Republicans didnt get much of a choice this year. Mccain is a moderate.
Of course the democrats have the worst choice.
Hillary or Obama, Lord help us!
However, regardless I will vote for Mccain for he is the lesser of the three evils. A vote not placed on Mccain will be a vote for the democrat, IMO, for its not yet possible for an independent to win in this country.
Blessings!

MandyThis is true.
My wife was a democrat for years, but now is a registered republican.
June 5, 2008 at 10:48 pm#91476CatoParticipantKennedy, was about the same age 46, yet he had executive experience as a naval officer in WWII, and served 6 years in the House and 7 years in the Senate so he had quite a lot more applicable experience then Mr. Obama.
Obama may be good but he has no track record or history, so far all he has are speeches and platitudes I think the presidency is too high a goal for one so unproven and untested.
June 5, 2008 at 10:50 pm#91477Not3in1ParticipantI guess Obama will have to learn fast! I believe he will take the Presidency.

MandyI dont.
The Clinton followers dont like this guy. McCain is a moderate with lots of experience and I think he will win their vote.
I have already talked to a lot of dems who wouldnt vote for neither Hillary or Obama.

Nick obviously has a deep seated problem with citizens of the U.S. Is it envy or resentment or something in between?
He just can't tolerate people from the U.S. saying anything concerning their country without making some snide remark. It seems natural that since this is a thread about Obama, the nominee for president of the U.S.A. that people may talk about the U.S.

The USA isn't ready for one……certainly not Hiliary.

I think you know the reason for this. A lingering product of all Abrahamic religions is the view that women are inferior to men.June 6, 2008 at 6:01 pm#91604GeneBalthropParticipantQuote (WorshippingJesus @ June 06 2008,11:15) Quote (Not3in1 @ June 06 2008,10:50) I guess Obama will have to learn fast! WJ…..has a good point I think he finally found something he right about.Unless Obama takes Hillary as vice president the Democratic vote will be split and many will move to, God for bid, McCain, doesn't Mc mean so of?.
so wouldn't his name mean, son of Cain? And he does have a violent temper, interesting?.
imo……gene

Hey Kevin,As a women, I do not feel inferior to my husband. However I am aware that for instance, he is bigger, stronger, more focused and logical. He has more stamina. By nature, imo, he is a protector. These are qualities that women do not usually possess to the degree that men do. For these reasons alone, I believe a man is the better choice for leadership.

Mandy I don't think we should under estimate a Woman. But not Hilary. I do agree with that.
