Here Bo, read this:
Acts 13:26“Brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation. 27For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him. 28And though they found in him no guilt worthy of death, they asked Pilate to have him executed. 29And when they had carried out all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. 30But God raised him from the dead, 31and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people. 32And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, 33this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm,
“‘You are my Son,
today I have begotten you.’34And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,
“‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’
35Therefore he says also in another psalm,
“‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’
Bo, who would make better witnesses to go out for Jesus, those who walked with him for a few years or a ruler that did not walk with Him and hear His teachings and see the miracles and witness Him speaking prophetically? If you died and were able to spend one day visiting those you left behind, wouldn't you visit those who knew you best? Paul was a different case. Paul was a great example of a person who was as Jewish as they came, keeping the law, went to the right schools, etc. and zealously went after the Christians to kill them for the sake of his religion. When he met Jesus, he did a 180 which was witnessed by so many who knew him when he was persecuting Christians.
In regards to your other question…Jesus was resurrected in a flesh and bone (not blood) body, the same one that He had yet glorified. This was likely to prove the fulfillment of the prophecy about the Holy One not undergoing decay and as a testimony that it was indeed Him. At the Mount of transfiguration, His face shone as bright as the sun and His clothes were as white as light.
Matt 17:2
And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light.January 28, 2013 at 2:57 am#330386bodhithartaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ Jan. 26 2013,16:44) Here Bo, read this: Acts 13:26“Brothers, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to us has been sent the message of this salvation.

Flesh and Bone? Are you serious? Bone and Flesh are vivified by blood. Remember the LIFE is in the BLOOD. No Blood no Life
Jesus said to those disciplesLuke 24:39
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”Now look at this:
Job 10:11
clothe me with skin and flesh and knit me together with bones and sinews?Do you understand?

There is life beyond earth but I don't see any evidence of blood in heavenly beings. I don't think we need our blood for eternal life, Bo. Jesus gave His blood for our trespasses.

Yu also don't see any evidence in heavenly beings of Bone and Flesh. You are so sweet and innocent I don't believe your beliefs are any sort of danger to you they are just somehow arranged in the way that they are. God Bless you always!January 29, 2013 at 7:24 am#330550LightenupParticipantBo,
Thank you for the compliment, may God always be with you too. I appreciate you in this thread because you are being very respectful…I'm very thankful. I am concerned about your beliefs though because by denying the literal sonship, death, and resurrection, you deny some main truths which seem to be paramount to salvation. You probably realize that about the Christian faith though, right?Jesus appeared after His resurrection, on the same day in the evening and He said that He was flesh and bones (not blood) so there is your evidence that a heavenly being can have flesh and bones:
Luke 24:36As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” 37But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. 38And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of broiled fish,b 43and he took it and ate before them.
44Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things.

Thanks for your concern and kindness I am inclinedto believe that the devil “is in the details” so to de-tail the devil we must put love above all else. I Love Christ no matter what happened or did not happen, whether he is a literal son or figurative, there is no reason for me to reject his love and the Love of GoD who sent him.Regarding “blood” Jesus said
Quote 39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” Notice he says “it is I myself” if he i teliing them it i me the SAME Jesus then that would mean a Jesus with blood, body and mind. it is your blood that requires that you eat.
God is full of Mercy and Compassion He is aware of whatever we are ignorant about but He also is aware whatever we do with the knowledge we do understand, and I have no understanding that bars someone who loves God and the believers of God with all their being the denial of salvation. Those who are not against are for us.
February 1, 2013 at 1:55 am#330751LightenupParticipantHi Bo,
I am happy that you love Christ, no matter if he is the literal son or not. At least you are not dogmatically against the idea.Regarding blood needed in order to eat…well, in Gen 18, the three 'men' (one was listed as being YHWH, two were angels) ate what Abraham had served. So that negates what you said about needing blood in your body in order to eat.
You are right that God is full of mercy and compassion but we are warned about denying who Christ is and also the importance of knowledge and understanding about God's word. I believe you cannot accept both the quran and the Bible because one says that Jesus is the only begotten Son and the other says God cannot have a son.
Do have a wonderful weekend. I am going to have several extra blessings around here from Friday to Monday so we will be partying all weekend long, lol!

The angels could have bee present in a person much like God was present wthin Christ. Also who said aything about denying Christ?Only Begotten Son could be a litral meaning of from Birth we already know the Bible calls otherpeple sons even “begotten”

Do you believe this statement is true or do you deny this as truth?

Is God inside you or not?Dyou believe the Holy Spirit is in you?
Romans 8:10
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.Do you believe that Christ is in you? If so how so?
John 14:6 is true but why do you suppose it meant “always through me” How is it you do not see that statement as meaning “while I a here”?
Obviously Moses and Noah both kew God long before Christ came here.
February 7, 2013 at 6:15 am#332003LightenupParticipantBo,
The two angels of Gen 18 appeared as men and ate food. We aren't told about these bodies that appeared as men and could eat. Apparently angelic beings can appear as men and act as men yet still be angels. They are supernatural beings with abilities to transform their appearances. There was no mention that they took over already existing persons.you asked:
Quote Is God inside you or not? Dyou believe the Holy Spirit is in you?
The Spirit of God dwells in me…what does that have to do with Gen 18?

Before Christ came here, He was with the Father even from the beginning and Moses and Noah knew Him as the Word of God. So, they did come to the Father through Him as the Word of God…the second Power of YHVH.

Rev 19:13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
Bo, this verse in Rev 19 is saying that Jesus is called by the name 'The Word of God?' Hence the 'Word of God' is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him. John 14:6
Also, Moses and Noah obeyed the Word of God, true or false?

I'm not sure what you are asking here. If you are suggesting that the people who had obeyed God's Word as spoken by Moses, came to God through the Word of God even though they did not know the name of Jesus, well, I would say yes. They came to God through Jesus as the 'Word of God.'
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Many did not obey the Word of God which came through the prophets nor did they obey the Word of God after He became flesh. In fact, the prophets of old were persecuted and not obeyed by the Jewish fathers.
Acts 7:51“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. 52Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, 53you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it.”
