Ps 119:163 I hate and abhor falsehood
    but I love your law.
Ps 119:165 Great peace have they who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble.
Pr 1:22 “How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
    and fools hate knowledge?

Mt 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
Mt 5:44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Mt 19:19 honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’’”
Mt 22:39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Mk 12:31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mk 12:33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

Lk 6:27 “But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Lk 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

    Hi T,
Vessels for God are hated as God is by the sons of destruction.
But those who are not against you are with you.

    Hi T,
Good is not overcome by evil.
Love is so much stronger than hatred.
Darkness cannot dispel light but the reverse is true.
The light shines in the domain of darkness which cannot put it out.
Many who were involved in arranging the death of Jesus later came into the kingdom.

    Hi T,
The lost show their natural fruit.
How can we align with God Who wants all to be saved if we behave as they do?

Mt 8:9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Mt 8:10 When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, “I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.
Mt 8:11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
Mt 8:12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
Mt 8:13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.

    Hi Georg,
    Psalm 44:13
You make us a reproach to our neighbors,A scoffing and a derision to those around us.

    Psalm 69:7
Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; Dishonor has covered my face.

    Psalm 69:9
For zeal for Your house has consumed me,And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

    Heb13
12And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. 13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. 14For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

Ro 13:8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
Ro 13:9 The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Ro 13:10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
Ro 13:11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
Ro 13:12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Ro 13:13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
Ro 13:14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

I believe it is what God wants us to learn while here

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

    1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

    terraricca,
I recently had my business, patent, savings, retirement, and equity in my home taken from me by an individual who used the courts as a weapon, and this was in spite that I had been faithful with him in all I did. This was a major blow to my whole family and it seemed wrong that this was my reward for doing right. But I knew the word and responded by praying for him. There were moments it would get to me and I would burn with anger, it was just so unfair and I could feel it eating me up inside. But then God would remind me to love my enemy and pray for him, once I did a peace would settle over me. As time went by the period of anger became less and less frequent to the point it has been months since my last one and it was minor. God caused me to reflect on the last couple of years, despite no saving or even a job we have survived, we truly feel blessed and it has been a time of growth in the Lord for the whole family even my adult son.

I believe that God wants us to learn the power of love, I now truly do want this individual to repent knowing his value as an individual far exceeds all that was taken from us. If you have to have your whole world turned upside down to gain this understanding it is well worth it. I cannot even begin to touch on all that God has done for us over these last few years (it would take a book).

So to answer your question, do it for your sake, for all that God can accomplish. Remembering that we were once enemies of God. It helps keep things in perspective and in doing so we demonstrate the love of God.

Terraricca…………if you hate your enemies , you are a Murder. Why would anyone want to live in HATE, While it may be good to Hate the evil a person does , it is not good to hate the person. Jesus said He hated the (DEEDS) of Some But he did not say He hated them. A person who has GOD Spirit in them can not Hate a person, they are incapable of Hate of a person, because of the Seed of GOD in them and His LOVE is shed around in their Hearts.
All life comes down to LOVE and HATE, we are to LOVE the GOOD and HATE the EVIL. But not the Person because GOD Might Change them even if there actions are EVIL. Always leave room for repentance. IMO

peace and love to you and yours…………………………gene

    William,
You have a stellar attitude bro! I pray this for you:

    Joel 2:25-27
25 “Then I will make up to you for the years That the swarming locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
26 “You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will never be put to shame.
27 “Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am the Lord your God, And there is no other; And My people will never be put to shame.

    Love ya,
