Quote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 18 2014,17:40) Hi MB,
Do you not believe the promises of God?
acts 2.38-39
Do YOU believe the promises, Nick? If so, how are you able to UNDERSTAND that which you believe? Are you allowed to believe things all by yourself, Nick? Doesn't that require knowledge of the things you choose to believe? Doesn't it require understanding, and logic, and common sense to know what it is you will believe, and what it is you won't believe?
Perhaps the Spirit believes the promises for you, since you are unable to use your own God-given mental capacities?

Only the Spirit can test the spirits.
Nick,I agree with that but I have some doubts about your interpretation of “discerning the spirits” or what those words actually mean as they are too vague.

hi Kthat is what Nick does he is so vague that what he is saying end up of no value ,
all claim the spirit but what spirit of cause all say God's spirit or Christ spirit ;this is strange because they do not believe the scriptures and what God and his son have said ,so what spirit do they use to be guided their own i would say

It is not what anyone here says but what scripture teaches.

You can take a horse to water, but can you hamstring him? Therefore, repent of your muslim-ish ways, accept God, and be healed. This is known as the confuse and run away technique. Good bye.

Jesus Christ manifested all the powers and gifts shown in 1 Cor 12

In the Spirit.
So this was when? At birth? Before you could read? Before a single scripture was read to you?Explain how you came to know God and Jesus without using your own mind at all.

No 35 years ago when I was baptised in water and the Spirit.
God had led me to realise the wondrous beauty and harmony of His Word and the words of men became as ashes in my mouthMarch 20, 2014 at 2:59 am#374161davidParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ Mar. 20 2014,09:49) Quote (david @ Mar. 19 2014,14:54) Yes nick,

It took ten years to master that impression. I did nail it didn't I?March 20, 2014 at 3:00 am#374163mikeboll64BlockedAnd how did you learn about God and Jesus BEFORE you were baptized? Surely you must have knew something about scripture – or you wouldn't have chosen to be baptized, right?
By what means did you learn that FIRST stuff – BEFORE the baptism?

Yes nick,But logic is as logic does. Embrace the spirit.
March 20, 2014 at 3:04 am#374165davidParticipantRather than discussing logic as a whole (which I'm sure encompasses all sorts on non-logic) perhaps it makes sense to look at tiny bits of what people call logic to see if they are actually logic or not.
