    Hi S,
You must be very young to behave in this way so we will make allowances.

    1Cor2
9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

What's all this talk about Burger King?
    You're making me HUNGRY!!

Try not to argue so much brother's and sister's. It doesn't get us anywhere, anyway. We still only know in part – we still only see in part. We won't know for sure until that Day!

So press on towards the goal!
    Love,
Mandy (I'm going to go get some lunch now!)

    Hi,
    1 Corinthians 1:22
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

    1 Corinthians 1:24
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

    Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    Nick,

Was it you who wrote this –

Who's the “we.” Nobody involved but you and me!

I reply to you the way I do for one reason – Pro 26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

No. Not so young and old enough that I don't play with those
childlike in dealings with others. So, with that I leave you,
with finality, to yourself and your “Burger King” mentality that
has to “have it your way.”

    Hi WJ,
You forgot to address the other verse you had offered.

    NH

I already have. But you obviously don't read my post.

Instead you just resort to the usual one-sided and fruitless dialogue!

    WJ

IYHO! A big pat on the back to you.

I did at the same time that I asked you your opinion but the dictionary failed to tell me what you think logic means.  If we choose different definitions then we would be speaking of different things when discussing the merits of logic and that makes for a senseless argument over words.

Entry for logic at freedictionary.com using The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition copyright ©2000 by Houghton Mifflin Company. Updated in 2003 reads:

    Quote

    n.
    1. The study of the principles of reasoning, especially of the structure of propositions as distinguished from their content and of method and validity in deductive reasoning.
    2. a. A system of reasoning: Aristotle's logic.
       b. A mode of reasoning: By that logic, we should sell the company tomorrow.
       c. The formal, guiding principles of a discipline, school, or science.
    3. Valid reasoning: Your paper lacks the logic to prove your thesis.
    4. The relationship between elements and between an element and the whole in a set of objects, individuals, principles, or events: There's a certain logic to the motion of rush-hour traffic.
    5. Computer Science
       a. The nonarithmetic operations performed by a computer, such as sorting, comparing, and matching, that involve yes-no decisions.
       b. Computer circuitry.
       c. Graphic representation of computer circuitry.

See multiple definitions and you may even be using one listed in this dictionary.  That certainly complicates the situation.  So could you please tell me how you define “logic”.  Thank you.

I generally use 2 or 3 when speaking of scripture depending on the situation.

    Hi KW,
God gives his children a sound mind, the mind of Christ.
He expects them to use logic and commonsense to find truth.
But truth is hidden in scripture and found by comparing verse with verse.

It is not found in logic alone.
It is not found in commonsense alone.
They are useless measures apart from scripture

I agree that in order for logic to come to the godly conclusion you must derive certain premises by faith and that faith is a gift of God.  For this reason we cannot come to Jesus unless God leads us.

Children are not accountable for their actions and so are judged in a different manner.

Nick……..God does nothing that is not logical we know everything he does makes since, granted we might not know all of what he does, But he does (REVEAL) things to us and advances our understanding and some have more then others as GOD see Fit , but we all can glean from each other and grow also as GOD give Growth to us all. Its kinda of interesting that the bible begins with Genesis and ends with Revelations, maybe we mature that way also. I do agree that the logic we use should agree with scriptures. But i also think GOD has to open our understanding of them. IMO

peace and love to you and yours…………………gene
