I generally use 2 or 3 when speaking of scripture depending on the situation.

He expects them to use logic and commonsense to find truth.
But truth is hidden in scripture and found by comparing verse with verse.It is not found in logic alone.
It is not found in commonsense alone.

They are useless measures apart from scriptureI agree that in order for logic to come to the godly conclusion you must derive certain premises by faith and that faith is a gift of God. For this reason we cannot come to Jesus unless God leads us.
