ParticipantQuote (Gene Balthrop @ June 02 2008,13:36) Nick……The Apostles all baptized with water at first, they were new in the faith and were growing in understanding all the time from a Carnal way of looking at things to a Spiritual way of seeing things. And you just switched subject matter again, the question was about Logic and Understanding as i recall< You were say you didn't need Logic and understanding remember. please stay on subject. You and WJ aught to team up your both good at dancing around Specific questions. IMO…..gene
Hi GB,
You still maintain that the baptisms in water seen in ACTS is a sign of the ignorance and immaturity of the apostles??June 13, 2008 at 3:13 am#92562GeneBalthrop
ParticipantNick…….I have no problem with water baptisms at all I was water baptized twice in my life, So were the disciples but they were still unconverted or Jesus would not have said to them what he did. And to think the disciples did grow in grace and knowledge and mature as they went along is not putting them down.

ParticipantHi GB,
You may reject scripture but Acts for me is the handbook for all time of life in the Spirit.June 13, 2008 at 3:45 am#92568GeneBalthrop
ParticipantNick………there you go again saying something i never said or implied either.
Your amazing and you say i put words in peoples mouths. Give me a break.
Show me where i rejected any scripture and that includes Act also. I have given you 12 scriptures on what Jesus said concerning the words He Spoke and you still don't accept them for what they say, do you. I think your the one who rejects scripture and even those Jesus himself said.IMO………gene

ParticipantHi GB,
Then deny what you wrote about baptism lest you lead astray a young lamb..June 13, 2008 at 4:34 am#92576GeneBalthrop
ParticipantNick….Show me what i said against baptism I have said i am (NOT) against water Baptism, But water baptism is not what saves any body it the baptism of the Spirit and Fire that is what saves people. The disciples were not changed until they received the Baptism of the Spirit and Fire that Jesus promised would come, if you can't handle that to to bad, it the truth.

Shall I run a list for you of all the Christians who said they were “led by the Spirit” and then were mistaken. Here is the beginning of the list that would run into infinity and beyond.
1. Mandy
2.
3.
4.Perhaps those here would like to add their names?
