John 3:13 seems to be talking about Elijah because it says:

    John 3:13 (Young's Literal Translation)

13and no one hath gone up to the heaven, except he who out of the heaven came down — the Son of Man who is in the heaven.

Jesus couldn't be talking about himself here because he is not “in” heaven when this verse is being spoken.

    Hi BD,
    Check other translations.
Why do you think mortal men can be in heaven?
Elijah was with Moses , alive in the Spirit, on the mountain.

Nick………….that was a vision. go back up to where Jesus said, there are some here who will not die until the see the son of man coming in the kingdom of God. It call the mount of transfiguration. These things appeared to them in a vision. There is (NO ONE) that has been raised except Jesus, all the rest are in their graves, including Mosses and Elijah. Scripture says no one has been raised yet except Jesus. IMO

2 Kings 2:10-12 (King James Version)

10And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

11And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

    The truth is the truth.

Remember Jesus made this statement while he is on earth:

    John 3:13 (Young's Literal Translation)

13and no one hath gone up to the heaven, except he who out of the heaven came down — the Son of Man who is in the heaven.

    Mark 9:11-13 (King James Version)

11And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

13But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

    Haydock's Commentary:

Ver. 13. No man hath ascended—but he that descended from heaven, the Son of man, who is in heaven. These words, divers times repeated by our Saviour, in their literal and obvious sense, shew that Christ was in heaven, and had a being before he was born of the Virgin Mary, against the Cerinthians, &c. That he descended from heaven: that when he was made man, and conversed with men on earth, he was at the same time in heaven. Some Socinians give us here their groundless fancy, that Jesus after his baptism took a journey to heaven, and returned again before his death. Nor yet would this make him in heaven, when he spoke this to his disciples. (Witham)

Sounds like Jesus is the omnipresent God…

So are you saying that John was not Elijah and Elijah was not taken to heaven?

Also from what you just said about Jesus why is it he didn't know there were no Figs on the fig tree he cursed, obviously if he was omnipresent he would have seen there were none before speculating that there may be some, if he didn't know he wasn't omnipresent.
