It is not the doctrines of men, but the pure word of God.
Only the creator of man, who was made flesh, can save mankind.
It is an INDESTRUCTIBLE TRUTHNovember 12, 2020 at 7:44 am#867437JodiParticipantBerean,
Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;
There was NO SON who spoke in times past, to say Jesus pre-existed as God’s word is a direct lie against verse 2.
Also verse 2 directly relates to the SON OF MAN to whom God had promised to the fathers by the prophet David would receive dominion overall that YHVH had made with His hands. Yes indeed this verse is true, BY REASON OF this SON OF MAN YHVH made the worlds.
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Being MADE, INHERITING, OBTAINING, that is not at all what you say, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.”
You speak total lies Berean. You are so blind you don’t even know what CHRIST means, TO BE ANOINTED BY GOD WITH HIS SPIRIT, which is a A CHANGE. Jesus tells you WHEN he was ANOINTED with the Spirit and WHEN he was SENT out into the world, but you deny Jesus’s words.
One days Jesus is a mortal man, another day he is dead, another day he has inherited God’s Spirit for all eternity, as was PROMISED.
Berean the TRUTH is FAR FROM YOU!!
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Berean, how blind can you truly be?????
The Son of God is identified according to prophecy, according to God’s promises He made to David concerning David’s son, how God would be a Father unto David’s Son, how on a certain day He would beget him of His Spirit. You read of this prophecy fulfilled in Acts, where a Son of Man is raised from the dead and begotten by God.
But you say we are to read the passages believing the Son is a pre-existing son, that is a total LIE against Paul’s words, God’s word.
GOD WHO anointed Jesus above his fellow giving him dominion overall the works of God’s hands, is the Lord of verse 10, to say the verse is speaking of Jesus is to be either completely ignorant or a total deceiver.
Pslams 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
BEREAN, Paul is directly speaking of prophecy concerning a SON OF MAN GIVEN GLORY, GIVEN DOMINION OVER that which he did not create but that which God created with His hands.
Psalms 80:17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
Luke 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God
Berean before the world was, our God planned for a SON OF MAN to sit at His right hand, for a Son of Man to receive His Spirit for all eternity and be exalted to His right hand, being made into His firstborn Son, a Son according to God’s Spirit.
November 12, 2020 at 8:19 am#867438JodiParticipantHi Berean,
YOU:
It is not the doctrines of men, but the pure word of God.
Only the creator of man, who was made flesh, can save mankind.
It is an INDESTRUCTIBLE TRUTHME:
Pure word of God you say?
“only the creator of man, who was made flesh, can save mankind.”
Berean, this is not a passage from the bible, those are your words.
Here is God’s PURE WORD,
Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
Luke 1:69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; 70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: 71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
It’s not about Jesus being a man, it’s about Jesus being THE SON OF MAN OF PROPHECY, THE SON OF MAN of God’s WORD before the world even was.
Isaiah 46: 9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: 11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it……
When Jesus said “the Son of Man is COME” Jesus is speaking directly TO THE WORD OF GOD SPOKEN BY GOD FROM THE BEGINNING.
Berean, God’s word from the beginning was a man would one day come and execute God’s purpose, salvation and righteousness unto eternal life.
……12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness: 13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.
Isaiah 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. 6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
Berean, no scripture says that God sent a pre-existing Son to earth to save us.
God SENT the promised SON OF MAN out into the world, not any Son of Man but the only Son of Man whom God gave His glory to, whom God anointed with His Spirit without measure. Jesus of Nazareth being born again of the Spirit filled with grace and truth was SENT into the world (Isaiah 11, 42, 61). He came down from heaven, people bore witness that he had COME FROM GOD, just as God had promised he would from the beginning!!!!
November 12, 2020 at 8:24 am#867439JodiParticipantBerean,
It’s truly interesting how I give you passages I want you to discuss because you need to explain them as they are directly contrary to that which you preach, and you respond by ignoring them and giving me that which you say is the “PURE WORD OF GOD”, which isn’t at all, you just gave your opinion, you gave me YOUR OWN WORDS, YOUR OWN DOCTRINE.
Seriously it’s unreal, you say “it’s not a doctrine of men” and then you give me YOUR OWN WORDS and try and put them off as the “PURE WORD OF GOD”. YIKES!!!
November 12, 2020 at 8:25 am#867440ProclaimerParticipantYes Jodi, the Son of man. But also the Son of God be whom God created the universe and the one he sent to come in flesh.
November 12, 2020 at 8:36 am#867442JodiParticipantProclaimer,
According to Luke 4 and John 3, he whom God SENT is Jesus of Nazareth upon him receiving the Spirit without measure.
According to Acts 13, the savior was of the seed of David and came according to a promise, and John the baptist preached BEFORE HIS COMING.
November 12, 2020 at 8:43 am#867443JodiParticipantProclaimer,
According to Isaiah 46, God’s word form the beginning was that a man would COME and execute God’s purpose. Why Jesus says, “the Son of Man has COME to save that which was lost”.
According to Isaiah 11, 42, and 61, God’s word was that the Messiah would come in the flesh, as the Messiah would be a man anointed with God’s Spirit sent to preach God’s word to save souls, and sent to deliver captives to save souls.
November 12, 2020 at 8:48 am#867444ProclaimerParticipantYes a man came indeed. The Word became flesh and did the job required. The son was sent by God, the one through whom he created the universe. A good plan since mankind needed a saviour and the one to redeem creation was the the one God created everything through.
And that saviour was never going to be a random human or the best of Adam’s offspring. No. God sent his son. He paid the biggest price ever.
Amen.
November 12, 2020 at 8:52 am#867445ProclaimerParticipantAccording to Acts 13, the savior was of the seed of David and came according to a promise, and John the baptist preached BEFORE HIS COMING.
In deed, he came in the flesh to fulfill the prophecies. Now he is back with the Father in the glory he had with him before the universe.
Do I hear an amen Jodi?
November 12, 2020 at 9:07 am#867446JodiParticipantProclaimer,
You are blind if you think that The Word being made flesh represents a pre-existing Jesus becoming a human baby.
The Word is God’s actually spoken word being made true in a son of Jesse.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The WORD that would become true in the flesh,
Isaiah 42:6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted*, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
FULL OF GRACE AND TRUTH,
Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
It blows my mind Proclaimer that you don’t see that Jesus receiving the Spirit not by measure given the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, said to have left the river Jordan having been FILLED with the Spirit and SENT to PREACH God’s truth, does not equate to why Jesus is called God’s only begotten Son whom the people beheld his glory, the one full grace and truth.

You are blind if you think that The Word being made flesh represents a pre-existing Jesus becoming a human baby.
Me
John Say THAT ONE OF HIS name IS “THE WORD OF GOD”
REVELATION 19……ok. ?
In JOHN 1 THIS IS” THE WORD”
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.November 12, 2020 at 9:21 am#867448JodiParticipantProclaimer,
According to 1 Chronicles 17 there was NO Son of God yet.
According to Psalm 89 there was NO firstborn yet.
According to Isaiah 11 and 61 there was NO anointed one yet.
According to Isaiah 42 God had not given His glory yet.
The Spirit came upon Jesus for him TO preach God’s word to save souls, for him TO deliver captives.
God is our savior by means of Him begetting Jesus of Nazareth with His Spirit and sending this only one begotten of the Spirit without measure out into the world.

Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
[58] Jesus said unto them, Verily,verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.November 12, 2020 at 11:19 am#867450JodiParticipantBerean,
Jesus didn’t say, before Abraham was, I was.
He said, “before Abraham was, I am” .. a reference to who he was AT THAT TIME.
Berean, it is true that before Abraham even existed, before Abraham even was, Jesus was declared all the things that he would be. Jesus was declaring who he was (I AM) according to God’s word of him from the beginning.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
Berean,
Jesus could rightfully say,
Abraham rejoiced to see my day, he saw it and was glad. Before Abraham was, I AM the one man whom God promised from the beginning who would come and die for your sins and bring forth a resurrection of the dead.
Berean “I AM” doesn’t refer to pre-existing, it is Jesus referencing who he was At THAT TIME, which who he was at that time was declared by God BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, before Abraham even existed.
Do you not pay attention at all how God wants us to know that God had everything all planned out from the beginning?
Before Abraham existed, God had already declared that all nations would be blessed through his seed.
November 12, 2020 at 7:12 pm#867453ProclaimerParticipantJesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
I don’t need an essay because I don’t want to change what it says. Happy to quote it verbatim. But poor Jodi has to write an essay each time because the verse is wrong to her as it is written.
She makes excuses with these verses. My opinion is that the truth is much easier. When you peddle lies it takes a lot of work keeping the story intact.
Better and easier to let the truth always win IMO.

We are not of this world, nor of it teachings, just as Jesus said about his “true” deciples, but from above just as Jesus said he was, foreknown, and predestined by our heavenly Father, “to bear witness Glorify him , even as Jesus did, saying , “I have glorified “YOU” on the earth”, we along with our lord and brother Jesus, who give all glory to the “only” one, “true” God, we also give honour to Jesus out brother and lord , by reconizing, the Glory and power, given him over the house hold of God by our Heavenly Father , and only true God.
Stay strong Jodi, I know you will, because our God is stronger then these corupters of the truth are.

Stay strong. Keep the essays going. Resist letting your yes be yes and no be no. Refute scriptures as they are written. Continue to argue against posts made that quote scripture only.
November 13, 2020 at 8:43 am#867463ProclaimerParticipantIt is a curious thing that John was filled with the Spirit.
Luke 1:15
For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb.November 14, 2020 at 4:29 am#867471GeneBalthropParticipantProclaimer, we know we are of the truth, because of the Spirit which God the Father has given us, “he” abides “in” us, giving us the “cognisity” of what is true, if you or anyone here does also have the Spirit of truth in them, “He” will bear wittines to that person, if what we say is true or not. we know Jesus and hear his voice because it carries with it the sound of the truth, and we do not follow a false teacher, because we do know the Sound of the true Shepard. But you and others trinitarians here follow the Sound of your Sheppard and his false teachings. You agree and then disagree, you say Jesus was a man then you deny his humanity, and say he was somekind of being who “preexisted” his birth on this earth, something Jesus never said, nor did he ever express he had any prexistent knowledge of anything before his birth on this earth.
On the one hand you say he was a man, on the other hand , you preach him as a prexisting “whatever”, you have never told us what exactly he was was, why is that? As I have said before, you are half way in, and half way out, and we all know what happen to the lukewarm, don’t we? REV 3:16.
Proclaimer what Jodi and I are and have been telling you is the “truth”. TRYING to slam Jodi , by saying she is writing essays, only shows how shallow and ignorant of the truth you really are, IMO
Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene
