hi 94,

Hi Nick:Is this the scripture to which you are referring?
Quote 1 John 1
King James Version (KJV)
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
Does this not agree with what I have posted? If not, how it does not?

Hi Nick:Of course the Apostles, did not handle just a plan. The scripture states “the life was manifest”. It was God's plan from the beginning of creation, to send forth His Son to reconcile His children unto Himself through the sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son and His Christ.
Quote Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

You mean the Spirit of life?Romans 8:2

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.June 15, 2012 at 3:14 am#302488942767ParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 15 2012,14:07) Hi 94,

The angel Gabriel spoke to then virgin Mary saying:
Quote 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God
And the Logos, or Word of God that he spoke to the virgin Mary became flesh:
Quote 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
But this was foreordained from the beginning of creation, and so, John 1 states in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Quote 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily WAS FOREORDAINED before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Hi Nick:Nice try, but the scripture states that in the beginning was “the Logos” and the “Logos” was with God, and the “Logos” was God.
It does not state Jesus Christ, the Word of God that was with God, and of course was God.

No, Nick: He was in the form of God, in his ministry on earth. He had been given the authority as God's Christ to forgive sins, but he did not let his position as God's Christ to go to his head, but he humbled himself and became obedient to God, even unto death on the cross.Paul is teaching the church about humility showing us by the example of the life of our Lord Jesus.
