    Hi,
Heb1 shows us how the begotten Son HAD BECOME much better than the angels.

And when God AGAIN brought him into the world the angels were commanded to worship him.

So any suggestion that he had previously been a godly being greater than any angel seems to lack support.

    Nick,

For God to command the angels to give homage to Jesus as soon as he came into the world the angels must have already existed at that point and had not previously given him homage.

    Hi T,
    God created all things.
He sends forth His Spirit and they are created[Ps 104]

Through the Spirit of Christ was how all of God's creation occurred-no conflict

    Nick,

    Good point!

    Nick,
Before the Son had become much better than the angels, He was made, for a little while lower than the angels. So first He was God with God (John 1:1), then made man (John 1:14 and Heb 2:9), i.e. lower than the angels, then became much better than the angels.

So you can't forget that first He was God with God and THEN after that, made lower than the angels. Of course, if He were to be returned to His previous position, He would have to once again become much better than the angels.

Heb 2: 9But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

    Hi LU,
So his last place was less than his original?
He was born a man but his inheritance is that of the Word of God
Hebrews emphasises how a lowly human from earth can be raised above the angels of God in heaven.

    K and N

JN 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

COL 1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,
COL 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
COL 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
COL 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities— all things have been created through Him and for Him.
COL 1:17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
COL 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.

Eph 1:1 I, Paul, am writing this letter. I am an apostle of Christ Jesus just as God planned.
I am sending this letter to you, God’s people in Ephesus. Because you belong to Christ Jesus, you are faithful.
Eph 1:2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

    God Gives Spiritual Blessings

Eph 1:3 Give praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing. Those blessings come from the heavenly world. They belong to us because we belong to Christ.
Eph 1:4 God chose us to belong to Christ before the world was created. He chose us to be holy and without blame in his eyes. He loved us.
Eph 1:5 So he decided long ago to adopt us as his children. He did it because of what Jesus Christ has done. It pleased God to do it.
Eph 1:6 All those things bring praise to his glorious grace. God freely gave us his grace because of the One he loves.
Eph 1:7 We have been set free because of what Christ has done. Through his blood our sins have been forgiven. We have been set free because God’s grace is so rich.
Eph 1:8 He poured his grace on us by giving us great wisdom and understanding.
Eph 1:9 He showed us the mystery of his plan. It was in keeping with what he wanted to do. It was what he had planned through Christ.
Eph 1:10 It will all come about when history has been completed. God will then bring together all things in heaven and on earth under one ruler. The ruler is Christ.
Eph 1:11 We were also chosen to belong to him. God decided to choose us long ago in keeping with his plan. He works out everything to fit his plan and purpose.
Eph 1:12 We were the first to put our hope in Christ. We were chosen to bring praise to his glory.
Eph 1:13 You also became believers in Christ. That happened when you heard the message of truth. It was the good news about how you could be saved. When you believed, he marked you with a seal. The seal is the Holy Spirit that he promised.
Eph 1:14 The Spirit marks us as God’s own. We can now be sure that someday we will receive all that God has promised. That will happen after God sets all of his people completely free. All of those things will bring praise to his glory.

Rev 1:1 This is the revelation that God gave to Jesus Christ. Jesus shows those who serve God what will happen soon. God made it known by sending his angel to his servant John.
Rev 1:2 John gives witness to everything he saw. The things he gives witness to are God’s word and what Jesus Christ has said.
Rev 1:3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy. Blessed are those who hear it and think everything it says is important. The time when these things will come true is near.

Jn 3:31 “The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.
Jn 8:23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

JN 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

JN 1:15 John * testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘ He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’

ALL THOSE TRUE BELIEVERS ARE IN TRUTH AND WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT,

IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE THEM THEN IT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT THAT YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ,NOW WHY DO YOU NOT BELIEVE ??? IS IT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT OR BECAUSE YOU DO NOT WANT TO BELIEVE WHAT IS WRITTEN ??

WELL YOU GUYS ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS,AND LIVE WITH YOUR ANSWERS

    Kerwin,
Human reasoning? When He became flesh then the angels saw Him in a different form…as man. Angels are not omniscient as to know how to respond in all situations, they are given direction by God too. Isn't the point that the Son, even as the resurrected man, was to be worshiped by the angels.

    Blessings,
    Kathi

No, His last place was a return to the same Glory that He had in the first place, God with God, but added to that was the office of the Mediator.
