Hi,
The Spirit of life gives eternal life.[Rom 8]
That is why Jesus said some with him would never die-meaning they would not suffer the SECOND DEATH.March 8, 2012 at 12:01 am#283467kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 08 2012,03:21) Hi KW,
He was raised by the abiding Spirit of God in him.
Nick,Acts 2:24
New International Version (NIV)24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
Romans 1
New International Version (NIV)4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
b. Romans 1:4 Or was declared with power to be the Son of God

He could not be held according to the prophecy about Jonah, and David's in Acts 2.25f, 13.34f.God's Spirit is the Spirit of Holiness.

The stories I have quoted are other passages of script I cite to demonstrate how their testimony reveals the same thing that John was teaching.
Do you agree that there is life in the word of God?
Do you agree that those that believe are born of the word of God?
If you do then you know the stories of scripture are true and it is best to believe what they say about the word of God.
read your stories in john 1.1 and do not jump to other verses.
do make people fool kerwin.if you cant read your imagination in john 1.1
then better luck next timestudy hard mr dream boy
Jammin,I choose not to take one verse out of the message of Scripture and give it my own spin like some do. If you are truly seeking to understand John's teaching in John 1:1 then you will seek to understand the context.
I asked if you believe that there is life in the Word and if believers are born through the Word. You avoided answering those two questions. Are you being serious in your search for God's righteousness?
the truth is you cant read your opinion in john 1.1your style is same as the style of the false teachers.
you are just making stories without basis.
better luck next time

One question I have. Who was Jesus' Father?
An honest answer to this question should show you that the trinity doctrine of three persons in one God is false.
God Bless you in your search

Nick,I was going by the idea the wages of sin are death and Jesus did not pay those wages for himself but these two scriptures you helped me find demonstrate one who does not sin will not see corruption.
Acts 2
King James Version (KJV)27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 13
King James Version (KJV)35Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Hi Jammin,2Cor.5:19 To wit, that God(“The Word” Ho Logos) was in Christ, reconciling
the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and
hath committed unto us “The Word”(Ho Logos) of reconciliation.God bless

Heb1 shows us how the begotten Son HAD BECOME much better than the angels. And when God AGAIN brought him into the world the angels were commanded to worship him.
So any suggestion that he had previously been a godly being greater than any angel seems to lack support.

Nyou should read ;Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.is this not what Paul says just as he says it in his letter to the Heb 1.??????
