Hi Arizona,
Please tell me, how is it that Jesus fulfilled in every detail over 300 prophetic Hebrew scriptures?
For example, is it possible for one to prophesy where he would be born, especially since there were 2 different Bethlehems?July 27, 2007 at 8:45 am#61753Artizan007ParticipantWhich 300 prophecies? – give me 10 to start.
July 27, 2007 at 9:52 am#61756BibliophileParticipantHi,
Getting late but I will get back with you on this. Promise!
July 27, 2007 at 10:33 pm#61855Not3in1ParticipantIn my opinion, Jesus is the combination of God and Mary (he is the Son of Man and the Son of God). Therefore, “JESUS” did not exist in the OT because he wasn't even born yet!
There are prophecies concerning the Messiah to come, but we will not find any words of Jesus, or acts of Jesus in the OT. Those who are in the know – if they are there, please produce them. I will catch-up on this thread in case the evidence has already been given. Thanks.

Mic 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel;whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting

Nick, you crack me up! You are a Doctor, are you not? Do you not know the process of conception and what takes place? You have many children, do you not? Tell me that your children are not the combination of you and your wife? Tell me that they are not individuals in their own right?Just because your personal theology demands that conception take on a different process…..doesn't mean that it is so! Every human being (which you say Jesus is), goes through THE SAME conception process. Why should Jesus be any different, huh? You contend for Jesus to be “puny man” but then you deny him his simple conception and birth. I just don't follow you, although God knows I have tried.

CB,I'm curious…do you believe in the Trinity or are you a modalist? The reason I ask is that your posts often take on more of a modalist theme than a Trinitarian one.
For instance, you often say Jesus=Jehovah. What about the Holy Spirit? What about the Father? And now you say “Jesus Jehovah God”.
I think you support the Trinity but only in name. Your posts definitely reflect more of a modalist flare IMO.
July 30, 2007 at 4:46 pm#62328kejonnParticipantCB,
Also, from Wikipedia
Both Michael Servetus and Emanuel Swedenborg have been seen as a proponents of Modalism, however, neither describes God as appearing in three modes. Both describe God as the One Divine Person, Jesus Christ, who has a Divine Soul of Love, Divine Mind of Truth, and Divine Body of Activity. Jesus, through a process of uniting his human form to the Divine, became entirely One with His Divine Soul from the Father to the point of having no distinction of personality.
See what I mean? Most of your posts do this: they say that God IS Jesus. I rarely see you mention the Father at all.
August 8, 2007 at 2:11 am#63480kejonnParticipantQuote (epistemaniac @ April 16 2007,13:27) ps… Jesus is here called “Lord of Hosts”… “LORD OF HOSTS
A name or title of God frequently used in the Old Testament, always translated “Yahweh of Hosts” (יְהוָֹה צְבַאוֹת, Yehōwāh çebhāʾōth) in the American Standard Revised Version, since Yehweh, never ʾǍdhōnāy, is used in this phrase. Evidently the meaning of the title is that all created agencies and forces are under the leadership or dominion of Yahweh, who made and maintains them (Genesis 2:1; Isaiah 45:12). It is used to express Yahweh's great power.
—International Standard Bible Encyclopediaconsider:
Jesus is sovereign and absolute Lord of all
but this is true only of GodJesus is called “Lord of Hosts”
but this is true only of God
Where is Yeshua called “YHWH of hosts”? Special pleading. No proof whatsoeverQuote conclusion: Jesus must be God or the Bible flatly contradicts itself; therefore the Trinity is the only way to reconcile what would otherwise be irreconcilable contradictions.. blessings,
Ken
what contradictions do you speak of? Those created to support a dogma? Since Yeshua is never called “YHWH of hosts” then there is no contradiction to deal with.Where do you folks come up with this stuff?

August 11, 2007 at 12:21 am#63717OxyParticipantJesus was in the beginning and often visited Old Testament characters, although He wasn't called Jesus then. He was called the Word of God.
1Ki 12:22 But the Word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
1Ki 12:23 Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the rest of the people, saying,1Ch 17:3 And it happened the same night the Word of God came to Nathan, saying,
1Ch 17:4 Go and tell David My servant, So says Jehovah, You shall not build Me a house to dwell in.There are many such examples. Check out my page http://www.all4god.net/word_of_god.htm
