Why is there a discussion based on this then.

Did you claim this and then recant?

Or has this been a misunderstanding from the beginning?

    Hi T8,

It has been YOUR misunderstanding from the beginning.

Okay, so that discussion based on that subject is also a misunderstanding too. Pity others can't comment and get to the bottom of it. But I did set up another topic for that purpose.

Maybe you could make a post that shows how this misunderstanding all started and then I can close the topic.

    Hi T8,

Who do you believe this verse is referring to:

Hebrews 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which
corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much
rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

    The Father.

I am taking it that you say it is Jesus the everlasting Father is the Father of our Spirits.

I assume that because it is almost a given that you would take the opposite view from the initial view that anyone would have upon reading that verse because that is the kinda guy you are.

Am I right, am I right?

Point me to a post that settles it.
Or to the post where the idea originated.
That would be good enough for me.

    Hi T8,

Not sure at all what you are saying? So let's try to keep it simple.
I believe the Father of Spirits is God's “HolySpirit”; what say you?

Um, the first thing I notice is this:

    Quote
So why would you think it a strange thing for me also to be a character written in the bible
approx 400 years before I wrote the book that documents the “Proof of God”(117)?

    Not looking too good.

Is this wrong? Or please explain why this is not saying what it is saying. I don't want a wild goose chase.

Ed J, you have close to zero credibility to me, so why would I engage a whole topic about a subject that is nutty.

I would appreciate a link to the actual explanation. Otherwise it really is wasting my time.

    Hi T8,

To illustrate that we both agree that Jesus is not “the Father of Spirits”, but “YHVH” is instead.
Earlier you said: that Jesus was (according to YOU) “The Everlasting Father”,
but that title correctly belongs to Jesus' father instead.

Are you suggesting that both Jesus and Jesus' father are both “the Father of Spirits”?

    Hi T8,

It matters not to me if you are seeking truth or not.
But what your ignorance and opposition does show is “FOLLY”!

“He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.” (Prov 18:13)

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” (Prov 25:2)

Ed, no need to go down this path.

I have already preempted this and told you in advance, that Abraham is an Ab and that Jesus is certainly greater than Abraham and will forever be greater than Abraham.

When I close down a possible path, why reopen it. That wastes time. It is illogical.

You assume that Everlasting Ab equates to Heavenly Abba. If it equates, then might as well include Abraham and make him equal too.

So it is ignorant and folly to challenge a person's teaching. It is ignorant and folly to show the weaknesses in an argument. It is weakness and folly to expose those who teach falsely.

Okay I am weak and God is strong. I am a fool for Christ. I stand guilty as charged.

    Hi Mike,

Jesus is not called “The Everlasting Father”

Sorry you disagree with scripture, Ed. In Isaiah 9:6, the child who is born to us is called “everlasting father”.

Did you read the scriptures that show a usage of “father” that is not used by us today? Ie: A king of a country could be called the “father” of that nation – because he was provider and protector. Did you understand this when you read my post?

Ed believes that the Heavenly Father was a child who was born.

So is your argument is: “Ab”, according to you,
is never used to reference “God the Father”?      …is this your argument?
