Hi Ed,
If the apostles baptised in water in the name of Jesus Christ why would you say it was not necessary?June 1, 2012 at 9:51 pm#300466NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
You have told us you are appointed as a teacher so why would you wander from what is taught in scripture.
There is no new revelation and the Spirit reminds us of what is written.June 1, 2012 at 9:54 pm#300468Ed JParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 02 2012,08:48) Hi ED,
There are lots of things the bible does not say.
To propound such things as truth is unwise.
Hi Nick,You mean like you saying water baptism is necessary?
God bless

Hi Nick,Acts 21:24-26 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that
they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed
concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. As
touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing,
save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and
from fornication. Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple,
to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.God bless

Hi Nick,1 Cor 1:14-17 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. And I baptized also
the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with
wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.God bless

Hi Ed,
Yes gentiles believers do not have to submit to the jewish law but the those who BELIEVE in Acts ARE baptised.June 1, 2012 at 10:32 pm#300475NickHassanParticipantHi Ed,
Indeed Paul was not given a ministry of baptism but preaching and teaching.

Hi Nick,I don't accuse, but you do.
Your brain is stuck on the word appointed,
though I have pointed out to you this is not applicable.
Yet you keep using it as if it is? – simply because you want it to be so.God bless

What I do is merely point out verses that appear
to go contrary to what others are proclaiming as truth.
With me, you have yet to point to any scripture in this regard.God bless

Hi Nick, synonyms are often used in different verses of Scripture, for example:
One verse may say “sword” while another verse may say “spear”.Another example is: In one verse we see the name Isaiah and in another we see the name Esaias,
but in both cases they are referring to the same prophet with the Hebrew name of יְשַׁעְיָה Yəsh-ä-yä.Your brother
in Christ, Jesus.

Funny you should teach that about swords and spears as it makes your derivation seem true.
