Hi Ed,
you said“I believe Isa.14:19-20 proves conclusively that 'Lucifer' is
indeed the 'son of perdition', and seek to prove it to
you and everyone here as well! (1Thess.5:21)”No true evidence for this so far from what you have presented as the witnesses seem only weakly inferential.
The son of perdition in Jn 17.12 seems likely to be Judas Iscariot
May 30, 2012 at 2:10 am#300043Ed JParticipantHi Nick, do you really think 2Thess 2:3-4 is descriptive of Judas Iscariot in any way shape or form?
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, ex-
cept there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;
so that he as {i am God} sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.It is only weakly inferential to suggest that the son of perdition in Jn 17.12
seems likely to be Judas Iscariot in light of what 2Thess 2:3-4 says.Your brother

but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of [Ed J] that slayeth thee. (Link)May 30, 2012 at 2:15 am#300045Ed JParticipantJeremiah 50:23-24 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is
Babylon become a desolation among the nations! I [YHVH] have laid a snare for thee,
and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found,
and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD. (Isa 14:16)May 30, 2012 at 2:20 am#300047Ed JParticipantIsaiah 14:16-20 They that see thee Lucifer shall narrowly look upon thee,
and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble,
that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof;that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword,
that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land,
and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.May 30, 2012 at 2:21 am#300048Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
I started this thread because of Wakeup's 'hit and run' tactics, which are unacceptable! I want to
discuss [Isaiah 14:19-20] until everybody knows everything there is to possibly know about it.Isa.14:19-20 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch,
and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword,
that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
20: Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed
thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.These three points of focus “DO” establish the matter:
1. cast out of thy grave
2. like an abominable branch
3. thrust through with a sword“At the mouth of three witnesses,
shall the matter be established.” (Deut 19:15)Your brother
in Christ, Jesus.

Exactly.

Is it not our goal to understand how bible verses interrelate?
