Another member here reckons my avatar is not displaying.
Can you see it?

December 14, 2011 at 10:57 pm#267895ProclaimerParticipantThanks.
December 14, 2011 at 11:09 pm#267898mikeboll64BlockedOnce in a while, I see a little red “X” where a person's avatar should be.
December 14, 2011 at 11:28 pm#267904seekingtruthParticipantAvatar shows up here no problem, I see the red X only when I'm having trouble with
slow downloadsDecember 14, 2011 at 11:51 pm#267907princessParticipantSee everyone else's, still not seeing T8's.
December 15, 2011 at 1:39 am#267930mikeboll64BlockedI see it. What exactly do you see where his avatar should be, Princess?
December 15, 2011 at 1:43 am#267931princessParticipantA indentation of a square with a white square located at the top left corner where a red x is displayed.
Maybe it is due to my banishment to the outer regions, T8 is just to far away to see anymore.
December 15, 2011 at 2:00 am#267933seekingtruthParticipantAre you on dial up?

That's what I sometimes see. And it will be only one person's avatar that looks like that when I can see everyone else's. A lot of times it's Stu's avatar I can't see. Perhaps you are right after all.
Hmmmm……………..

No William.December 15, 2011 at 11:03 am#267953princessParticipantMike, for Stuart to be yours and T8 to be mine, it has to be because of NZ, that is the only other logical explanation.
December 17, 2011 at 5:20 pm#268189mikeboll64BlockedThen for sure it must be a Kiwi problem, not an American one.
December 18, 2011 at 2:04 am#268229ProclaimerParticipantBoth our avatars are hosted with another site, so there might be some cross-scripting issues with AVG or some other Web protection service.
When security settings are high, it can stop this because malware is often secretly planted in legit sites and any file coming from a different domain can be blocked.
That is my guess.
December 18, 2011 at 5:48 pm#268298mikeboll64BlockedInteresting. I was using a 30 day trial of Norton Antivirus when it happened with me. It has not happened again since I let the Norton expire.
