Heavenward does not define the place but the unity in God.February 9, 2012 at 10:01 pm#276815terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 10 2012,14:53) Hi MB,

Nickwould this mean that Paul was not with Christ wen he says those words ?? in Cor ;15 and Phil;3
did he was not speaking of his dead ? and so rather stay in the flesh or die and go to Christ in heaven ??

Heaven is the home and throne of God.Christ went there and in him I am sure men will have access.
But their home is the renewed earth

That's right. Some will even help Christ rule over some others.Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 09 2012,14:53) Heavenward does not define the place but the unity in God.
And what human wisdom and logic tells you this? Verses 20-21 seem to support the meaning of “a life in heaven” – where Jesus now dwells. Are you letting human wisdom and logic get in the way of what the scriptures actually teach, Nick?February 9, 2012 at 10:15 pm#276823terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 10 2012,15:07) Hi T,

nick144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
are those for the earth??if yes then they are the only ones to be resurrected and live during the 1000 years of Christ ,
if not then those are living with Christ ,and the ones in Christ will then be part of the first resurrection as well .

None rise till the return of Jesus.
Then all the saved in Christ rise to meet with him in the air.
Then later other sheep are added to the flock from the sheep and goat judgementFebruary 9, 2012 at 10:42 pm#276830terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 10 2012,15:33) Hi T,

Nickso what you say if I understand this;
the 144k and the great crowed that died in Christ are all for the heaven ??
and so the ones coming out of the second resurrection are for the earth , right ?

You're not reading the context, Nick. This is from NETNotes:
Eph 2:152tn
In this context the author is not referring to a new individual, but instead to a new corporate entity united in Christ (cf. BDAG 497 s.v. καινός 3.b: “All the Christians together appear as κ. ἄνθρωπος Eph 2:15”). This is clear from the comparison made between the Gentiles and Israel in the immediately preceding verses and the assertion in v. 14 that Christ “made both groups into one.” This is a different metaphor than the “new man” of Eph 4:24; in that passage the “new man” refers to the new life a believer has through a relationship to Christ.Surely you can read the context and know that Paul spoke of the Gentiles and the Israelites, who once had a dividing wall between them, becoming one group of people in Christ.
Paul metaphorically calls this group of many people a “man”, much like God often referred to the nation of Israel as a “he” or a “she”, and called that nation His “son”.

New man.February 10, 2012 at 1:52 am#276875mikeboll64BlockedYes Nick,
The Gentiles and Israel will be united as a new man. What does that have to do with Jesus being a human being in heaven right now?
February 10, 2012 at 2:01 am#276877NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
We do not know what we will be like-or called.
1Jn2February 10, 2012 at 2:05 am#276881mikeboll64BlockedWhat we know, Nick, is that Jesus is no longer a human being.
And that's the point I was making with this thread.
