Nick
I think we go to fast for you.
Paradise just means beautiful, lush, peaceful, abundant. A place of serenity and calm.
And don't ask me to prove it means that, I'm just trying to explain what most of us picture in our minds when we hear that word “Paradise”.Now, can you tell me if there was ever a time or a place that ever existed like that on earth that you can think of?

Shall we make one up?April 1, 2014 at 7:04 am#375770WakeupParticipantIf this is not paradise;what would you say it is.
Isaiah 65:18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
Isaiah 65:19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
Isaiah 65:20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
Isaiah 65:21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
Isaiah 65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
Isaiah 65:23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Wakeup.

Is there any among you that can have a go at answering this question?
Was there ever a time or place in history when it was peaceful, beautiful, abundant (with food) and not only that, but safe?
It's not a hard question,

The story of Lazarus going to paradise was a parable.
Just as the wheat and the tares, and many parables. That means what? Are there not fields in which farmers plant wheat? Jesus simply told a parable whose punchline was about someone being raised from the dead and based it on the known doctrine of the 1st Century kingdom of God.
You can look up Abraham's bosom as you will find it was a doctrine as I said. Do you believe Jesus used a heretical doctrine to make his point in parable.
Jesus told the thief I will see you this day in paradise and that same doctrine that Jesus used in his parable has a pleasure ground in it. That place where Jesus' and the thief's soul was going by the end of the day.
Kerwin………Jesus did not say the thief would be with him in paradise “that day” what he said was this, I am telling you this day, you “SHALL BE” with me in Paradise. Jesus did not go to any paradise that day , he went to the grave, because he was dead. Basically he was just tell in the thief that, he would in the future be with him in Paradise.Peace and love to you and yours………………………gene
Gene,1) What version of Scripture are you using as the AV of the KJV definitely states Jesus and the thief were to meet in paradise that day.
Luke 23:43
Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
2) The AV of the KJV states Jesus' soul went to hell that day and came back on the third day.

He demonstrated the lack in natural men
Nick,Actually Nicodemus was Jesus' defender before the Sanhedrin and he was one of two men who placed Jesus in his tomb.
In addition Jesus did not say he was nonspiritual, instead he stated that Nicodemus should already know what Jesus was talking about.

NickYou want everything laid out on a plate for you?
What's the holy spirit for then?
If it's all laid out, easy and straight forward, then we wouldn't have to seek would we?
The wicked would also know God's plan,
and guess what? He's not letting them in on his plan.
Even angels desire to know, (bad angels) and he's not laying it out to them either. We are supposed to search the scriptures and will find clues here, and clues there. So many clues everywhere.
Do some detective work, seek.
We have to put the jigsaw puzzle together to see the full picture, and only then can we see.April 1, 2014 at 12:32 pm#375802journey42ParticipantNick
The garden of Eden was paradise. Yes.
That's where it all started.
That's where the tree of life was.
Not many people realise that the tree of life was in Jerusalem. The tree of Life was Christ,
and he will return to Jerusalem.
Jerusalem will be like Eden was again.
In the millennium.
Jerusalem is paradise,
that is the physical kingdom area with boundaries,
where all who dwell in there will be safe.
All living outside the kingdom area travelling to visit, will be safe also.
but before Jerusalem gets restored to paradise again, it will suffer complete desolation.Ezekiel 36:35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
Now you have heard something new you didn't know.
Lets see if you will trample this also?April 1, 2014 at 1:12 pm#375805WakeupParticipantQuote (kerwin @ April 01 2014,19:42) Quote (Wakeup @ Mar. 31 2014,10:43) Quote (kerwin @ Mar. 31 2014,14:42) Quote (Wakeup @ Mar. 31 2014,08:41) Quote (kerwin @ Mar. 31 2014,10:34) wu, Quote Jesus did not explain things deeply to Nicodemus.

Kerwin. It is not a new teaching, but it has been misunderstood for thousands of Years.
One that is born again is spirit;not flesh.
The resurrection is when Mother Zion gives birth to all her children at once.
She is spirit; and all born of the spirit will be born spirit. All born of water is flesh.

I can see the argument that flesh birth is a water birth, even though amniotic fluid is not literally water. Our culture has called it water though I do not know if the Jewish culture of the First Century did.
I do know they taught of a new spirit when getting immersed as that is one reason they immersed themselves in water. John seemed to have a variation where he immersed those who pledged a clear conscious before God instead of them immersing themselves but the basic forms were the same as mentioned in the Law. Getting a new spirit is rebirth in spirit.
