how come the window image is a dark gray color next to the category “notices” but a gold window next to “biblical discussions”?
next to a topic title, what does a blue smiley face mean? what does an open or closed envelope mean?
next to your name when posting, what does it mean to have a yellow lightbulb on or off to the right of the name?
September 11, 2005 at 10:18 am#8542BrandonIkeParticipantwhat about a purple envelope with a star? oh, i'm seeing now the blue smiley face is a “post icons” feature that a poster can put.
September 11, 2005 at 10:28 am#8543BrandonIkeParticipanti feel incompetent. i scrolled down from the main forum page and saw a key that showed what a gold window means or what a gray window means.

scroll to the bottom, and it even shows what a blue window is.September 11, 2005 at 10:29 am#8545BrandonIkeParticipanti would like to know what a cat post is or a rest'd post is, though.
September 11, 2005 at 10:30 am#8546BrandonIkeParticipantenvelope pictures are also shown if you scroll down the bottom after opening a forum category. i'd like to know what “posted in” means when a star is showing.

That icon shows a recent New Topic with no replies.
Once replies are added or after a period of time with no replies, other icons are used.September 11, 2005 at 11:48 am#8551AdminKeymasterQuote (BrandonIke @ Sep. 11 2005,11:29) i would like to know what a cat post is or a rest'd post is, though.
'Cat Posts' will not show up at this Board as there are no sub-categories (categories inside categories). If there were and a post was made inside a sub-category, then I think it would show that colour next to the listed subcategory on the category page. 'View New Posts' (gold colour) would be insufficient as there would be no posts as such at that level. Only sub-categories with posts inside them.'New Rest'd Posts' show up for protected categories, I can tell you that much. What it stands for I do not know. A protected category is hidden from certain Groups. All members belong to a group of some kind. Most members belong to the 'Members' group. Different groups have different priviledges.
September 11, 2005 at 12:03 pm#8552BrandonIkeParticipantthanks, what does it mean if the light bulb is on or off next to your name?
September 12, 2005 at 4:03 am#8579AdminKeymasterIf the light is on, then that person is currently logged in the the Forums.
