Quote (t8 @ July 13 2009,13:00) So no proof Stu, just imagination.
You need a type of faith to believe it.The worse part is it cannot explain how nothing became something and if we face this question, then it should have a profound impact on how everything came to be.
But if you close your understanding to the idea of a beginning and what can cause that beginning, then a species changing to other species without any need for a framework/OS/ and creator seems feasible within that very limited understanding.
Of course a sensible person will understand that laws, logic, causes, just don't ppear out of nothing.
But putting one's head in the sand of ignorance can be quite comforting if reality hurts.
t8!Did you read the article on ring species, or have you just come to make diffuse irrelevant remarks?
Actually your post is vaguely familiar. I guess you do post the same stuff over and over.

It is pretty obvious that all life did not appear at the same time. Actually if you stretch out your arms side to side, and the total length from fingertip to fingertip represents the history of the earth, then the entire history of humans is contained within a single scrape of a nail file on one end.
If one day is like a thousand years to God, and a thousand years as one day, then I don't think this is meant to be taken that God created everything in 7 days or 7000 years. How can the statement “one day is like…” be a scientific measurement when the word “like” is mentioned.I think the point is that God isn't subject to time like we are. Why would he be. He created it.
As for the 180,000 years or 4 trillion years it matters not as to whether there is a creator or not. I don't take dates too serious. They get altered all the time anyway.
August 20, 2009 at 7:18 pm#141594StuParticipantI am glad to see you deny the literal account of Genesis.
You no longer have a reason to be an evolution-denier!

Existence -> I exist therefore I am. This leads to the obvious fact that someone existed before all. Father of all.Remains valid no matter what the dates say.
Thanks for listening to pure logic. Hopefully it computes, but the non-belief faith you have might repel it regardless of its logic.
Bias is a funny thing. It leads to all manner of wrong decisions and hypothesis.
It can even make a person into a fool by denying even the simplest of logic and truth.September 10, 2009 at 8:36 am#145466StuParticipantQuote (t8 @ Sep. 10 2009,15:30) Design -> Designer

Why don't you start a non-sequiter poetry thread, t8?Here, I'll start you off. This 5-syllable line is dedicated to you:

It is life-giversas in parents
the people abused by the christian fantasy story
with its requirement that they beat or kill their misbehaving children
and its arrogant insult that the first birth was not good enough

I think christianity has lasted this long for the same reason: all who admire the emperor’s new clothes mutually confirm the one another's delusions.

Hey Stu: You didn't have to call me ignorant to get me to stop communicating with you. I don't think you know me well enough to make such a curt opinion of my knowledge in any area.
I was wrong in my opinion of you. I didn't think you were a little, defensive person who would take oportunity to step on the heads of others to elevate youself. I will not waste any more of your time.
