GB,
God does use tormentors or torturers
Mt18
33Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?34And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
But this is used for the servants of God who refuse forgiveness to their brothers.
Satan is allowed to punish those saved one who cannot forgive.
Their work is tested by fire[1cor3]But that has nothing to do with the idolatrous heathen.
1 Peter 4:18
AND IF IT IS WITH DIFFICULTY THAT THE RIGHTEOUS IS SAVED, WHAT WILL BECOME OF THE GODLESS MAN AND THE SINNER?January 7, 2009 at 1:59 am#116852chosenoneParticipantOf course one would have difficulty understanding scripture if he doesn't believe some of the scriptures, only the ones that describe his false teaching of the “one eternal gospel for all”.
Useing Matthew as for us, when Jesus distinctly said in Matt.15:24 … Now He, answering, said, “I was not commissioned except for the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Also, the book of 1Peter, if you read the first sentence, 1Peter1:1 …1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen expatriates of the dispersion of… In case you hadn't noticed this is also to ” the chosen expatriates of the dispersion”… Even you should guess who this is too???
No wonder you're so confused as to what scripture is saying, you have to use scripture to understand scripture!!!
Use ALL OF SCRIPTURE, not just part.
Blessings.

There is no longer Jew or Greek.
Letters to the saved are for everyone, everywhere, always in the body of Christ.Of course all men are not and never will be in the body of Christ.
Grace is just theory for those unknown to the one who was filled with grace and truthJanuary 13, 2009 at 3:00 am#117423chosenoneParticipantNH.
Yes, Jew and Gentile are chosen into the 'body of Christ'. This does not negate that Jesus teachings were to Israel, and them only.
God will be “All in all”.January 13, 2009 at 3:10 am#117427NickHassanParticipantHI CO,

I didn't understand your question.January 18, 2009 at 12:54 am#118070NickHassanParticipantCO,
Are the teachings of Jesus only for the Jews in your opinion
or was he sent only to the Jews?January 18, 2009 at 7:28 am#118125chosenoneParticipantNH.
You could read it youtself if you believed scripture. I'll give you an explanation… He was commissioned to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”. His (Jesus) teachings were for them only. It would benefit you greatly if you would believe what scripture says, and not ignore some scripture just because it doesn't agree with what you believe!!!January 18, 2009 at 7:56 am#118135NickHassanParticipantCO,
So he was commissioned to the lost sheep of Israel.Hang on a bit.
How do you get from there to his teachings only being for them?

CO,I think I am starting to understand.
So though Jesus's teachings you were only for Israel we must read them and believe them but then hope for salvation in the mouth of his servant Paul?

You say you have been baptised in the Spirit, something Jesus offered in Jn3
Yet surely according to your teaching you were not entitled to receive from the Hand of the Lord of all.
What gives?January 18, 2009 at 11:17 pm#118207chosenoneParticipantNH.
Gods “Holy Spirit” has been in existance as long as God, which is eternal. Again, you make statements attributed to me that I never made. Show me where “my teachings said you were not entitled to recieve from the hand of the Lord of all”.
Nick, you are so desperate to prove your “eternal gospel for all”, that you resort to lies, and false accusations, of not only me, but others on this site. Try at least to be civil, it's hard to believe you call yourself a Christian, treating others in such a discusting manner.
Treat others as you would like to be treated!!!January 18, 2009 at 11:29 pm#118216NickHassanParticipantCO,

I have heard from the man from Nazareth by reading scripture. The difference between you and I is that “I BELIEVE WHAT HE SAID”, while you don't. It's as simple as that.
What's the use of you hearing what He said, but won't believe it??? - AuthorPosts
