Hi,
Nothing useful in the eyes of God is possible without grace.
We can do nothing of ourselves just as Jesus couldn't either.
The one who wants to save his own life will lose it-we need grace.Grace is not given to all.
Grace comes to men through Jesus Christ.
Unless we are born of the Spirit we are worse than helpless, even deceived.Acts 15:11
But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.John 1:16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.Romans 3:24
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:Rom 5
1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Paul, John and Peter prayed for grace to be given to their brothers.
Romans 1:7
To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.2 John 1:3
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.March 18, 2008 at 1:38 am#84161NickHassanParticipantHi,
Jesus was full of grace
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. And God would have us too replete in grace
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:March 18, 2008 at 2:48 am#84167942767ParticipantHi Nick:
Thanks for bringing up these scriptures. His grace and mercy will see us through.
Quote Hbr 4:14 ¶ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession. Hbr 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
Hbr 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need

Brethren In unity I agree. All those that have God's Holy Spirit will understand. Thank you Almighty God for bringing us our Savior Jesus Christ into the world, so we can have eternal liefe through Him. I am for ever grateful for Him. Amen.Peace and Love Mrs.

Grace is what is given to us.
We are only given what we ask for.
We do not have because we do not ask.Even repentance is grace
Acts 5:31
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.Acts 11:18
When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.2 Timothy 2:25
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;March 24, 2008 at 2:23 am#84640chosenoneParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 22 2008,05:32) Hi,

Eph2:8-108 For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present,
9 not of works, lest anyone should be boasting.
10 For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them.Notice it says “And this is NOT OUT OF YOU”.
-and also- ” For HIS achievement are we.”I noticed someone said previously that there is “nothing we can do”, then goes on and tells us what we “should do” to recieve salvation? Makes no sense!
Blessings.
March 24, 2008 at 2:43 am#84642NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Have you not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ?
You do need to listen to and obey it.
That is how to avoid the wrath of God.March 24, 2008 at 3:10 am#84649chosenoneParticipantHi Nick,
You have to “correctly cut the word of truth”, 2Tim.2:15.
Matt.15:24 I was not commisioned except to “the lost sheep of the house of Isreal”.
Ro. 15:8 …Jesus for the Circumcision.
Ro.15:16 Paul for the nations. (Gentiles)You will never understand scripture unless you understand “who is speaking” and “to whom it is spoken to”.
Blessings.
March 24, 2008 at 4:07 am#84655NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Indeed Paul went to the nations and cast the net.
He caught some useful fish and wrote to them, teaching and exhorting them.
Did you think he wrote his letters full of wisdom for the amusement of the heathen nations?March 24, 2008 at 4:51 am#84659NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
Acts 15
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
So the gospel was taken to the gentiles.
Some believed and were given grace through Jesus Christ.
The Spirit of God was poured out on them and God did signs and wonders among them confirming their salvation.Of course not all heard.
Not all listened and not all were saved.Rom10
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.March 24, 2008 at 5:40 am#84660NickHassanParticipantHi,
Just as the law was given only to the Jews
GRACE is given only to those who are reborn into a relationship with Lord Jesus.
John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.March 24, 2008 at 5:49 am#84661chosenoneParticipantNick, this could apply to you? Acts 15:10 ?
Blessings.
March 24, 2008 at 6:00 am#84666NickHassanParticipantHi CO,
The impossible burden of perfect obedience to the Law
was never a problem for gentiles.Romans 2:12
For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;April 6, 2008 at 8:51 am#86138NickHassanParticipantHi,
Before Christ was there grace?Grace and truth came through him.
Now it is essential for the journey.
Heb 4
6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
It is so hard to put aside the habit of self effort that does not need faith,
to rest in the works done by Jesus, which does.July 4, 2008 at 4:26 am#95798NickHassanParticipantHi,
This is what grace is about.
Grace upon graceJohn 1:16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. We never can get enough and should never stop seeking it.
July 8, 2008 at 6:08 am#96391chosenoneParticipantWe should not stop seeking it? See the last verse.
34 For, who knew the mind of the Lord? or, who became His adviser?
35 or, who gives to Him first, and it will be repaid Him?
36 seeing that out of Him and through Him and for Him is all: to Him be the glory for the eons! Amen!Blessings.

Hi brother Nick,
I agree with you regarding grace, certainly grace was there before Jesus. God is the source of that grace and Jesus is the fullness of God's grace for us.
Blessings
