Pierre! I don't know about any other language, but in the German Bible in general lines up with our KJ Bible perfectly. We own a German Bible. I find it waste of time to study even the number system Ed is doing. I also find it a waste of time even responding to Him. And I see very few who have. So that should tell Him something. Yet he keeps up with it. I also wonder how God looks at it. Since it is confusing to so many, I would think that God would not like it at all. You also can see how many read the Bible and get different meanings out of each Scripture. So why would anyone even add the numbers to the confusion already. It simple makes no sense at all.

The Masoretic Text (MT, , or ) is the authoritative Hebrew text of the Jewish Bible regarded almost universally as the official version of the Tanakh.[citation needed] It defines not just the books of the Jewish canon, but also the precise letter-text of the biblical books in Judaism, as well as their vocalization and accentuation known as the Masorah. The MT is also widely used as the basis for translations of the Old Testament in Protestant Bibles, and in recent years (since 1943) also for some Catholic Bibles.[1] In modern times the Dead Sea Scrolls have shown the MT to be nearly identical to some texts of the Tanakh dating from 200 B.C.E. but different from others. The MT was primarily copied, edited and distributed by a group of Jews known as the Masoretes between the seventh and tenth centuries CE. Though the consonants differ little from the text generally accepted in the early second century (and also differ little from some Qumran texts that are even older), it has numerous differences of both greater and lesser significance when compared to (extant 4th century) manuscripts of the Septuagint, a Greek translation (made in the 3rd to 2nd centuries BCE) of the Hebrew Scriptures that was in popular use in Egypt and Palestine and that is believed by scholars[citation needed] to be the source often quoted in the New Testament.
The Hebrew word mesorah (מסורה, alt. מסורת) refers to the transmission of a tradition. In a very broad sense it can refer to the entire chain of Jewish tradition (see Oral law), but in reference to the Masoretic Text the word mesorah has a very specific meaning: the diacritic markings of the text of the Hebrew Bible and concise marginal notes in manuscripts (and later printings) of the Hebrew Bible which note textual details, usually about the precise spelling of words.
The oldest extant manuscripts of the Masoretic Text date from approximately the ninth century AD,[2] and the Aleppo Codex (once the oldest complete copy of the Masoretic Text, but now missing its Torah section) dates from the tenth century.

hi Irenegood to see you ,you right ,but i see this way ,understanding of scriptures is reserved to the righteous ones those who rely on God word for there salvation and truly share there knowledge, with caution ,
all the other knowledge is purely intellectual brain gymnastics,
just look in the “debate”some are good, but only if the opponent is truthful,I also believe it does not matter the translation providing it is a direct translation from the original text,
you know the first time i heard of the RYRIE bible by Georg, I have ordered my personal copy of it ,i have now 10 translation in three languages.

October 9, 2010 at 7:20 am#219249Ed JParticipantHi Terraricca,
We don't have the original (Torah) written by the hand of Moses,
neither do we have the original (Tanakh) writings of the Prophets. The Masorites were copyists who meticulously copied the original Hebrew Canon down through the centuries.
Copies (of the originals) that were handed down through the centuries were called The Masoretic Texts.
If they made even one mistake in copying, it had to be burned and they had to start all over again. For you to imply that all English translations carry the same weight is not at all accurate!

There are EXACTLY five words for “God” the Greek (all are pronounced Thēôs); they are…
Four (4) of these are “plural” forms of the word; only one (1) is used in “singular” form.1) θεος
2) θεου
3) θεω
4) θεον
5) θεεAlso a matching aspect to the five variants for God in The Hebrew Masoretic texts…
1) Strong’s 426: אלה (ĔL-äh) elah: corresponding to 433; God:-God, god.
2) Strong’s 433: אלוה (ĔL-ō-äh) eloah: from 410; a deity or The Deity:-God, god. See 430
3) Strong’s 6697: צור (tsû-är) tsoor: a rock; a refuge(house); X(times) mighty God, sharp, X stone, X strength.
4) Strong’s 430: אלהים (ĔL-ō-Hêêm) elohiym: plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense;
but specifically used in the plural of the supreme God; angels, X exceedingly; God, X great, judges, X mighty.
5) Strong’s 410: אל (ĔL) ale: mighty; strength; The Almighty (also used of any deity):- God, X goodly, X great; power. This pattern of five has a matching aspect to…

As soon as I see statements like that, warning bells go off. The last person who told me that the AKJV is the true bible is now in prison for sexual abuse.OK, that is a bit harsh but it is true. However, that aside, I have always been suspicious of those who promote the AKJV as the only true translation. When you look at the facts, you will see that this version doesn't make use of the oldest manuscripts or the Dead Sea Scrolls because they were not accessible in that time. Also, King James English is not as clear to an English speaker today. In addition, the AKJV has the johanneum comma added in as well as other dubious verses.

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgJune 17, 2011 at 10:23 pm#248872Ed JParticipantHi Everyone,
There really is something to “English Gematria”, but I appear
to be having some trouble explaining it's significance to you all.Take for example the story of the 30 pieces of silver that Judas
was paid for betraying Jesus. This “Prophecy” was foretold in Zech.Zech.11:10-13: 10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder,
that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 11 And
it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew
that it was the word of the LORD. 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me
my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And
the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prized at of them.
And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.“Beauty”(74) equals “Jesus”(74)
“Beauty”(74) here CLEARLY represents “Jesus”(74);
GOD foretelling “HIS DEATH”(74) on the [†] “Cross”(74).Would you all call this “Cherry Picking” as well? ~
well, it’s some pretty ripe “Fruit”(74); huh? (Rom.7:4)“God Blood”(74) from the “God Son”(74)
Matt.27:3-7 3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself,
and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, I have sinned
in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury,
because it is the price of blood. 7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.God bless
