Brother Nick said:
Quote Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? Jesus Himself said to Ananias:
Quote Go, for he [Paul] is My chosen vessel to bear My name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel (Acts 9:15). Then Paul said:
Quote But I make known to you, brethren , that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ” (Galatians 1:11-12). It appears as if Nick has a problem with Christ choosing Paul as His “mouth piece”.

Why do you think this?
The message is not divided.
The body of Christ is not divided.
The Spirit of Christ is never divided.Paul is a wonderful mouthpiece of God spreading wider and deeper the ripples of the truth of Christ.

What is this new gospel of Paul's you speak of?
Paul himself warned us about them.Gal1
6I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Paul shows it was GOD the Father who Chose Him from His berth to do the work God had for him to do. Paul did not chose God, GOD first chose Him from his berth, It was not Jesus who called Paul be GOD the FATHER.
And it was not by Paul's works of repentance or righteousness that caused His conversion but the WILL and PURPOSE of GOD.love and peace to you and yours………………………..gene

Paul was given the task of taking the gospel of God outside Israel.
Preachers still offer it to the heathen with the same response as then.January 31, 2009 at 3:42 am#119754GeneBalthropParticipantNick……The thing is This post says………. God chose Jesus and Jesus Chose Paul, can't you see the error in that statement. Again lets push the Father aside and Push Jesus ahead of HIM. Fact is GOD CHOSE JESUS AND PAUL BOTH.

Hello Nick/ThinkerThis sounds like another post covering Paul's “new”
gospel. Again, sticking with the word, we find Paul clearly identifying The Mystery. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (Eph.3:6)
The mystery had nothing to do with new content to the Gospel. The only new was direction. It now went to the Gentiles also.
On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews. 8 For God, who was at work in the ministry of Peter as an apostle to the Jews, was also at work in my ministry as an apostle to the Gentiles. (Gal.2:7-8)
Paul to the Gentiles, Peter to the Jews. Two messengers –
one and the same Gospel. Easily understood unless you need to make some far fetched point about two Gospels.Blessings – Seeking

God gave all authority to Jesus.
Paul the branch served the vine and so pleased the Gardener.January 31, 2009 at 5:23 pm#119808KangarooJackParticipantNick said:
Quote God gave all authority to Jesus. Yes! And Jesus used His authority to select Paul as His mouthpiece. So what's the problem?
If the owner of a field says to His supervisor, “I give you all authority”, then whoever that supervisor chooses to administrate things is the FINAL word.
God chose Christ to be lord of the vinyard or field giving Him all authority. Then Christ exercised His authority and chose Paul to administrate the new covenant. It's pretty simple Nick. Paul is the FINAL word. No degree in rocket science is needed my brother to understand these things. But a little deprogramming might help.
To question Paul is to question the way Christ exercised His authority.

Paul said that his gospel was revealed to him by Christ. If Christ revealed the whole gospel truth in the days of His flesh, then why would He reveal more truth to Paul? And why did Jesus say to His disciples, “I have more to say to you but you can't bear it now. But when the Holy Spirit comes He will guide you into all truth”?January 31, 2009 at 6:46 pm#119828NickHassanParticipantHi TT,
Certainly God showed Paul, the servant of Christ, deeper aspects of the gospel of the kingdom.
He now could because His Spirit now dwelled in him.1Cor2
10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Nick…………God did not give (ALL) authority to Jesus Because God is the only one who has (ALL) authority, Jesus authority is only in subjection to GODS WILL ,Jesus did not Chose Paul, GOD did as Paul himself Plainly said. Why are you always trying to force GOD the FATHER out of the Picture all the time. When are you going to understand it's not about Jesus , it about the (WILL) of GOD the FATHER. Which Jesus obeys Himself. But its the Father who is the head of all things Himself.peace and love……………………………gene

Really?Matthew 28:18
Then Jesus came to them and said,“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…”
If you force us to choose who do you think we will trust?
