Hi Jammin,Eph 4:13-14 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children,
tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,
and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;Heb 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us,
that they without us should not be made perfect.God bless

Like I keep saying, for one to be “in the form of another”, that first one cannot possibly be that other. For one to have “the nature of another”, that one cannot possibly be that other.
Phil 2 speaks of Jesus being, not “in the form of THE FATHER“, but “in the form of GOD“. So if Jesus was existing in the form of “God”, then there's no possible way Jesus could have been “God”.
As far as Paul talking about Jesus being “God”……..are you sure? It seems to me that Paul is the one who said, “yet for us, there is but one God, the Father“. Not only that, but many times in scripture, Paul thanks the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
jammin, does God Almighty have a Father that brought him into existence? Does God Almighty have a God of his own?

dont you have the form of MAN?
what is your form or nature? dont tell me you are an animal by nature or form
June 6, 2012 at 4:16 am#301170jamminParticipantthere are many gods mike
but the true God is one
paul is referring to the nature as GOD and not as MAN
paul knows that Christ is God by nature.
the apostles know that. thomas said to jesus he is GODJune 6, 2012 at 6:47 pm#301231942767ParticipantHi Jammin:
You say:
Quote 942767, the bible says that the fathr and the son have the same nature and that is GOD
just like you and your father
you are 2 persons but one in form or nature and that is MANI agree that the Father (God) and the Son have the same nature which originated from the Father. Jesus said that when we have seen him we have seen the Father. And then he tells us that it is through his works obedience to God, and so this is the divine nature of God that is made made manifest to humanity through the life of the Son, and it is that same divine nature that is being formed in us God's children. God made man in his own image, the first Adam was made a living soul, like God in that he is a living person, with a mind, a will, and emotiions, the last Adam is the “express image of God's person” through the life that he lives in obedience to God's Word.
Quote 1 From Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for God’s good news. 2-3 God promised this good news about his Son ahead of time through his prophets in the holy scriptures. His Son was descended from David. 4 He was publicly identified as God’s Son with power through his resurrection from the dead, which was based on the Spirit of holiness. This Son is Jesus Christ our Lord. (CEB)
Again, this says God's Son and the Son of God, NOT GOD THE SON.
My father and I are two distinct individuals, just as God and His Son, but we may or may not share the same nature which is what I have become through the life that I live. If I as my father's son obey his teachings, people who know that he is my Father may say about me “that I am a chip off the old block”.
Love in Christ,

jammin,I haven't ever prepared a list or counted, but I am willing to bet that I could list at least 40 times in Paul's writings where he CLEARLY identifies Jesus as someone OTHER THAN “God”.

you do not know what you are saying
do you have the form of MAN? yes or no?
if yes, are not you a MAN?
June 7, 2012 at 1:20 am#301297mikeboll64Blockedjammin,
I'm sure you know that the Hebrew word “adam” means “man”, right?
So to answer your question, I am AN adam, but I am not THE Adam.
Get it?
Anyway, I've grown tired of your “nature” thing – as it seems to be all you have, and so you've been repeating it for ages.
But you said Paul knew Jesus was God. Do you want to do an investigation into Paul's writings, where you can list all the times Paul refers to Jesus as “God”, and I'll list all the times Paul refers to Jesus as somebody OTHER THAN “God”?
