Seemingly, jammin.  But did God tell Moses that no man can see Him and live?  YES or NO?

Do we have a contradiction in scripture?  Or will you accept Hosea's explanation that the ancient Hebrews often referred to representatives of God as “God”?

Here, read his words in 12:3-4 again………….
………and with his dynamic energy he contended with God. 4 And he kept contending with an angel and gradually prevailed.

Did Jacob contend with God Himself?  Or with an angel? Or could it be that by contending with God's representative, it could be said said that he contended with God?

    Hi Jammin:

    Hi Jammin:

Mary is the mother of “the Son of God”:

    Quote
1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

There is no scripture that calls Jesus “God the Son” is there?

The scripture states that God is eternal, and therefore, He has no mother or father.

The scripture also calls Jesus the “last Adam”, and states that “he is the express image of God's person”.

When he ascended into heaven he stated that he was going to his God and our God.

    Quote
Jhn 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God.

    Hi Jammin:

Scripture must be line upon line and precept upon precept, and monogenes theos, although some manuscripts may have it that way is not consistent with other scriptures that state that Jesus is the “Son of God” not “God the Son”.

This is what God revealed to humanity through the Apostle Peter:

    Quote
Mat 16:13 ¶ When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

Mat 16:14 And they said, Some [say that thou art] John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Other manuscripts have it “monogenes huis”, and is consistent with what God has revealed to humanity in the revelation given to us by the above scriptures.

And this scripture states that there is “One God”:

    Quote
    Eph 4:4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.
