    1 Timothy 3:16

    Amplified Bible (AMP)

16 And great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory.

who is that GOD? father or son?

let me post again 1 tim 3.16
    1 Timothy 3:16

    New Life Version (NLV)

16 It is important to know the secret of God-like living, which is: Christ came to earth as a Man. He was pure in His Spirit. He was seen by angels. The nations heard about Him. Men everywhere put their trust in Him. He was taken up into heaven.

    Hi Jammin,

Were's the “AKJV Bible” verse in your post?

    Hi Jammin, Question #2:

First you claim my question is not specific enough,                  (First post on page)
and now you're claiming you answered;                                 (last post you made)
    but NEITHER are really true!

    (Jammin) GOD: means supreme being
(Ed J,) GOD: the creator of the universe.
For reference, Here is the definitions of “GOD”.

You answered a different question, one that I didn't ask?
I didn't ask…   'do you believed the son is GOD by nature.'

    What I instead asked is:
are you suggesting that Mary is(?) the mother of God?

Hi Jammin, I'm referring to “GOD”.

So, is your answer both “YES” and “NO” then?

Not answering questions within your restrictive confines does not
constitute as a non-answer and is restricting your spiritual growth.

    Hi Jammin,

Your use of foreign terminology is unclear?
What does  'GOD by nature'  even mean?

You have said the “Son of GOD” is GOD?

    Quote (jammin @ May 12 2012,01:46)
GOD is the son of GOD.

And we know through biblical record that Mary is Jesus' mother.

    1. Are you suggesting that Mary is “Mother Nature”? Or
    2. Are you suggesting that Mary is the “Mother of GOD”?

    Choose 1 or 2

I assume that you agree with scripture that there exists only ONE Omniscient Creator of All Things, right?  And that One is called “God Most High”, right?

Do you think Jesus IS that One…………….or the Son OF that One?  It has to be one of the two, not both.

Jesus can either BE God Almighty, or he can be the Son OF God Almighty, who also shares a divine, spirit nature WITH his Father, God Almighty.

Which choice do the scriptures bear out:
    1.  God Most High?
    2.  Son OF God Most High?

    mike

you dont understand what you are saying

    il give you an exmple,

you and your father have the same nature ,MAN

the nature of man is not eternal. man is created
the nature of man is not all powerful. man is limited
the nature of man is not all knowing. man is limited
    etc

    do you agree?

    jammin,

I agree that you and your father share the same nature.  But you can either BE the same being as your father, or you can be the son OF your father that shares a nature with your father.  So which one are you:
    1.  The same being as your father?
    2.  The son OF your father?

Also, all powerful, all knowing, and from eternity are not a part of someone's “nature”.  If they were, then Jesus couldn't be said to share God's nature, because Jesus is NOT all powerful, all knowing, or from eternity, as this scripture confirms:
    Micah 5 NIV
    2 “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
though you are small among the clans of Judah,
out of you will come for me
one who will be ruler over Israel,
whose origins are from of old,
      from ancient times
    .”

4 He will stand and shepherd his flock
in the strength of the LORD,
in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God
    .

Jesus had an ORIGIN, jammin.  And even after being exalted to the highest place, he still rules in the STRENGTH OF JEHOVAH,  HIS GOD.  So he is neither from eternity, nor all powerful.  (This scripture brings up another point:  Can God Almighty be the God OF God Almighty?  Does God Almighty have a God of His own?  Only in Bizarro World would that make any sense.  ??? )

Please give me a direct answer to my original question, jammin.  You have been hounding Ed for weeks because he hasn't answered your question with one of your choices.  I have now given you the only two choices there are, please pick one of them.  According to the scriptures, is Jesus:
    1.  God Most High?
    2.  The Son OF God Most High?

    Hi Jammin,
    You say
“nature means ineherent qualities or attributes.”

    and
“the son is GOD by nature”

So you only know of GOD by NATURE?

If You KNEW HIM all arguments ABOUT HIM would cease.
