(you can't break God's word apart to change it's meaning!)1) 2:5 τουτο γαρ φρονεισθω εν υμιν ο και εν χριστω ιησου
2:6 ος εν μορφη θεου υπαρχων ουχ αρπαγμον ηγησατο το ειναι ισα θεω(Phil 2:5-6) 2:5 This understanding is in you in Christ Jesus:
2:6 In the form that God exists, think it not robbery to be considered equal.2) “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,
through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding
great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:3-4)God bless

http://www.holycitybiblecode.orgApril 29, 2012 at 8:13 pm#295602mikeboll64BlockedI don't really know if there is a difference between “existing in the form of God” and “partaking in divine nature”.
Some of us will become “like Jesus” and “brothers of Jesus” and “joint heirs of God with Jesus”. But then we know that Jesus is the firstborn, and will always have “double” the rest of the children (according to Jewish custom).
It is a hard question for sure, and seems to be open to speculation.
April 29, 2012 at 8:35 pm#295606NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Some?
Some in Christ will not?Christ is not divided.
The Spirit is oneApril 30, 2012 at 12:19 am#295650mikeboll64BlockedYes Nick.
SOME are goats, while SOME are sheep. SOME will be the least in heaven while SOME will be greater. SOME receive the heavenly calling, while SOME will inherit the earth. SOME will help rule with Jesus while SOME will be subject to that rule.
April 30, 2012 at 2:05 am#295655NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
This is thin JW theology is it not?
Goats head for the fire. The only difference between the firstfruits and the sheep found in the judgement is that only the first group rule and are priests in the Millenium.[Rev20]
The second group are raised after that time.

Hi Jammin,The Apostle Peter was saying the same thing the Apostle Paul was saying…
1) 2:5 τουτο γαρ φρονεισθω εν υμιν ο και εν χριστω ιησου
2:6 ος εν μορφη θεου υπαρχων ουχ αρπαγμον ηγησατο το ειναι ισα θεω(Phil 2:5-6) 2:5 This understanding is in you in Christ Jesus:

great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (2 Peter 1:3-4)Here is something else the Apostle Peter said…
“As our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard
to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest,
as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:15-16)God bless

Quote (jammin @ April 07 2012,00:10) Quote (Ed J @ April 06 2012,21:03) Hi Jammin, Question #1:
Do we become God when we have God's divine nature?God bless
Ed J
no.that is my answer.
Questions Jammin still refuses to answer…Question #2:
are you suggesting that Mary is(?) the mother of God?Question #3:
Do you believe “The Word” (ο λογος Hō Lōgôs) is your “God” or the son of your “God”?Question #4:
When we read “The LORD” in the “AKJV Bible”, is it speaking of [יהוה] YÄ-hä-vā or [יהשוע] YÄ-shü-ă ?Question #5:
Who do YOU say [יהוה] is?Quote (jammin @ April 24 2012,19:03) what did john said?? did he say the word is the son of GOD or the holy spirit?
Question #6He said: “The Word” was GOD.
Do you deny that the “HolySpirit” is GOD?Quote (jammin @ April 27 2012,00:39) read carefully your verse. “might be” partakers of divine nature is not the same as being in the nature of GOD
Question #7:How do you define the term: “divine nature” Jammin?
You have yet to answer these remaining six questions.
God bless

The topic is about questions YOU refuse to answer.
I have already answered your question (three posts up).
You've answered 1 out of 7: an answer percentage of 14%.
I, on the other hand, have answered 100% of your questions. Not answering your questions within the confines of your restrictions does not
constitute as a non-answer! (see link) You are attempting to detach the pertinent
meaning of Phil. 2:5-6 (three posts up) from its associative meaning in 2 Peter 1:3-4!God bless

HI Jammin,I'll answer question #7 for you,

to understand the meaning of Godhead.Divine nature: having the nature of the Godhead.
You too can be a partaker of this divine nature as well?God bless
