Hey T8, here’s a close up of the green buoy from that second video D4T posted…
See the bigger base at the bottom? That’s what I was pointing out in the comparison images above. In the visible spectrum shot, you can’t even see that the buoy has that wider base. In the IR shot, you can not only see it, but see that it is a couple of feet thick off the water. This doesn’t mean that the base was hidden behind the curve of the earth in the VS shot, right? It just means that, although it is there, it has blended into the surrounding water/air.
Likewise, the missing bottoms of the buildings in the Chicago shot doesn’t mean they’re hidden behind a curve. They are there, but have blended into the surrounding water/air.
And that is the same with the boats you think disappear over the horizon. The bottom of those boats are still there, but they’ve blended into the surrounding water/air. Just like the train in my latest video is there the entire time, but eventually blends right into the air…
I can’t wait until the FE community really jumps on this IR thing, and starts shooting boats at sea with it. It’s going to be bigger than Buzz Aldrin openly admitting that they never went to the moon. Because let’s face it, there are very few people left in the world who think we did anyway, so that one’s kind of old news. Like a brand new article saying that 9-11 was a false flag event. Uh, yeah… tell us something we didn’t all already know. 🙂

July 30, 2018 at 11:06 pm#833050Dig4truthParticipantWhile we’re waiting on a response for the distant objects seen when an infrared filter is used I’d like to revisit the vacuum problem. Below is a video that uses a lot of humor to express the absurdity of an atmosphere with any pressure adjoining a strong vacuum without any transfer or equalization of pressure.
Notice that in the movie clip they use a “vacuum cleaner” to remove the atmosphere of earth! How preposterous is that!? Any vacuum that could be produced by man is way weaker than the vacuum of space (according to the “experts” as seen in this video)! So without trying they have hit on the complete absurdity of the problem.
Also notice Neal’s response when trying to explain this conundrum; he explains it one way and then gives another answer because the first didn’t sound plausible, but then the second response sounds even more implausible!
Enjoy!
July 30, 2018 at 11:23 pm#833051Dig4truthParticipantI recently heard an interview where the question was asked about the lunar lander; “would you take this thing that looks like it’s made of tin foil and curtain rods to the bottom of the ocean?”
I thought this was a brilliant question because the pressure there would be a good test for the stronger negative pressure of space! We’ve all seen what a weak vacuum can do to a railroad tanker car!
So, any takers? Anyone want to take a dive in the lunar lander?

I looked for his video on it today, but couldn’t find it right away, and so gave up. 🙂 But yeah, nobody in their right mind would use this piece of crap as a boat – let alone a submarine…
What do you think, Gene? Would you feel safe taking that sucker to the bottom of the Mariana Trench?

NDT is a paid actor, and can only parrot the things he’s been told. That being said, he’s done a good job of accidentally refuting a lot of the mainstream globe “proofs” – so I kinda dig him. 🙂
But seriously, his answer is that there is such little air pressure high up in the atmosphere that the most powerful vacuum ever imagined by mankind (because of course it’s not real) has no effect on that air. What a joke. It’s like the panspermia believers trying to get out of the problem of how life could have arose via purely materialistic mechanisms. They say it evolved somewhere else, and then was seeded on earth. But that doesn’t solve the problem of the first life… only moves the problem to a different location. Likewise, NDT has merely moved the problem of a pressurized system existing adjacent to a non-pressurized system to a different location.
If the air in the uppermost atmosphere is not under any pressure because gravity is weaker up there or whatever, then the layer of air right below that layer would rapidly disperse into that layer. And that would remove the pressure from the layer immediately below that one, and it would also disperse into the less pressurized area. And so on and so on until there wasn’t a bit of pressurized atmosphere anywhere on earth.
Hey people, gasses will ALWAYS disperse and equalize. That’s why we don’t fear suffocation from all the air in the room just squishing itself into one little corner of the room. That’s why when you hit the trigger on a can of compressed air, the air rapidly leaves the pressurized canister and disperses equally in all directions until it reaches an equilibrium. And no amount of “gravity” is going to keep that pressurized air in the canister – because they tell us that gravity is the weakest of the universal forces, and much, much weaker than gas pressure. Let that sink in for a minute. So-called “gravity” is much weaker than regular old gas pressure. So the idea that gravity holds even a few molecules of air to the earth while it’s spinning at a thousand miles per hour and hurtling through space at millions of miles per hour is laughable. But the idea that the weakest universal force not only holds trillions of molecules of air to the earth, but holds them so tightly that the upper layers squish the lower layers and produce an unconstrained uniform air pressure is absurd in the highest possible degree. Because the moment “gravity” brought even two air molecules in such close proximity, their repelling force would more than overcome the much weaker gravitational force attempting to squish them together.
July 31, 2018 at 1:31 pm#833073mikeboll64BlockedThe mainstream scientism narrative about the formation of stars is that huge stellar gas clouds were circling around in the vacuum of space. Over time, the gravitational pull at the center of the cloud (why is the pull always at the center?) caused the gas to compress in on itself. Eventually, this pressure caused so much heat that fusion took place, and ignited the entire cloud and turned it into a star. So it’s basically the same explanation as they give for earth’s pressurized atmosphere – without the igniting part. But listen to what NDT said about this stellar formation story…
“We know the cloud wants to collapse under it’s own weight to make one or more stars. But rotation, as well as the turbulent motion within the cloud work against that fate. So too does the ordinary gas pressure you learned about in high school chemistry class. Galactic magnetic fields also fight collapse: They penetrate the cloud and latch onto any free-roaming charged particles contained therein, restricting the ways in which the cloud will respond to its self-gravity.”
— Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Death By Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandaries, page 187
The earth has rotation. The earth has turbulent motion. The earth has ordinary gas pressure. These are all things that fight against the much weaker force of gravity. So explain how this much weaker force can overcome all these other stronger forces, including the most powerful vacuum ever imagined.
The very idea of a pressurized atmosphere existing adjacent to a vacuum is absurd, folks. But it is a necessity for the helical model of the world.
July 31, 2018 at 1:46 pm#833075mikeboll64BlockedThey say the tilt of the earth gives us the seasons. So the earth is 93 million miles from the sun, and tilting it 23.4 degrees (a difference of a couple thousand miles) makes the difference between the frozen winters and the boiling hot summers. And what’s worse, they say the northern hemisphere is actually 3.5 million miles farther away from the sun during our summer. So we’re 3.5 million miles farther away at the time, but the 2000 mile tilt not only makes up the difference, but overcompensates for the further distance, giving us 120 degree days in the Arizona summer. Here’s a very short and hilarious analogy of that absurd teaching from scientism…

The red is the equator, where highest annual mean temperature is. But the yellow is the ecliptic around the sun… the part that is consistently closest to the sun.

I like that one of the best Hebrew scholars can give us information about what the Bible teaches about the shape of the earth. I don’t agree with his conclusion though. If his conclusion is true then what are we to make of the verses that say;
The sum of Your word is truth.. Psalm 119:160
For Your lovingkindness is great to the heavens And Your truth to the clouds. Psalm 57:10
For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies. Psalm 108:4
etc.
Would His Word be true if it wasn’t? Would He be true?

August 1, 2018 at 11:59 am#833129LightenupParticipantHi Dig4truth,
Do you not understand the difference between metaphors and non-metaphors? If God is speaking metaphorically then it is to be understood that way…it is a true metaphor. It would be false to understand something as literal when meant metaphorically, right?
15 Famous Metaphors in The Bible
Metaphor and the Bible
A metaphor is a comparison made between two or more things using figurative or descriptive language. Metaphors serve to make difficult to understand ideas or concepts more tangible. Metaphors also infuse written text with vivid descriptions that make the text more vibrant and enjoyable to read.
As the metaphor is one of the most common literary devices, it can be found in almost any text, and The Bible is no exception. Some of the metaphors found in The Bible are alluded to and referenced in many other texts, so it pays to be familiar with them and understand what is being said. Here is a list of fifteen of the most famous metaphors in The Bible.
The Examples
• Proverbs 13:14
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life.
In our first example, teaching is compared to a fountain, but not just any fountain. The fountain of life is a common metaphor that suggests a continuing source of sustenance and life.
• Isaiah 64:8
But now, O Lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.
In this metaphor, God is compared to a potter who molds clay. God’s followers are the clay and are subject to his design and influence.
• Psalms 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
Here is a commonly alluded to metaphor from one of the most famous passages in The Bible. God is compared to a shepherd, someone whose duty it is to look after and care for his sheep.
• John 6:35
Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; he who comes to me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst.’
In this metaphor, Jesus compares himself to bread. The bread of life is a symbolic idea that Jesus offers eternal fulfillment. Like bread sustains us in life, Jesus’s metaphor suggests that he can sustain his followers in a spiritual sense.
• John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.’
Here is another metaphor that Jesus used to talk about himself. He calls himself “the light of the world.” In The Bible, light refers to salvation, and darkness refers to sinfulness.
• Revelations 19:7
Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.
This example contains three metaphors. The lamb is Jesus, the bride is the Church, or the followers of Christ, and the marriage is the union of the two in heaven.
• Isaiah 5:5
So now let me tell you what I am going to do to my vineyard: I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed; I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.
In this example, God is warning Israel, which he refers to as his “vineyard.” God says he will remove “its hedge” or protective surroundings and allow its destruction.
• Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He.
Metaphors about God and Jesus abound in The Bible. God is commonly referred to as a rock, as in this example.
• Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
As in the last example, God is compared to a rock. But this metaphor is expanded in this verse from Psalms. God is compared to a fortress, a shield, and a stronghold to illustrate his role as a protector.
• Revelations 21:6
And He said unto me, it is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Here is another commonly quoted verse from The Bible. In it, God compares himself to the Greek alphabet. The first and last letter of the Greek alphabet is alpha and omega, respectively.
• Genesis 49:9
Judah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up?
This verse illustrates another commonly alluded to name of God. In this verse, Judah, one of the twelve tribes of Israel, is called a “lion’s whelp,” or a lion’s cub. It is from this verse that the term of God as “the Lion of Judah” originates.
• John 14:6
Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’
In this verse, Jesus establishes himself as not only the pathway to God, but also as truth and life itself.
• John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Here is another commonly quoted Bible verse with a famous metaphor. In this example, Jesus compares himself to a vine and calls his followers branches of the vine, in that they are extensions of himself. Also, Jesus states his followers will “bear much fruit,” meaning good things will come as a result of their faith.
• Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
In this example, followers of Christ are said to be “a new creation.” It is metaphorical, of course, because something already existing cannot be created.
• Matthew 5:13
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
Here is another famous metaphor for the followers of Christ. They are compared to salt, in that they have a purpose in the world. In biblical times, salt was very important as a preservative, flavoring, and even as currency. This metaphor says that followers of Christ have no purpose without Christ.
Conclusion
In each of these examples, figurative language and descriptions are used in order to make comparisons between different things easier to understand. Since each of these verses are commonly quoted and alluded to, the metaphors used are important to understand. So, not only are these metaphors integral in The Bible, but show up in many other texts.

August 1, 2018 at 10:57 pm#833143Dig4truthParticipantLU: Do you not understand the difference between metaphors and non-metaphors?
Perhaps you you missed this post of mine from 6 pages ago. In it I discuss metaphors and non-metaphors. It begins when T8 asks me a question.
[T8: “A good friend can be a pillar of strength. So they must be made if concrete then right?
Job 9:5-6 It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how,
When He overturns them in His anger;
6 Who shakes the earth out of its place,
And its pillars tremble;Since you deny that the earth has pillars as indicated in the above Scripture and others, what on earth is this talking about?
Do you see a simile or metaphor in the above Scripture?
Psalm 75:2-3 When I select an appointed time, It is I who judge with equity. 3 “The earth and all who dwell in it melt;
It is I who have firmly set its pillars. Selah.Again, where is the simile or metaphor in the above Scripture? Notice the descriptive word “firmly”, this would further indicate the literal sense of the verse.
I’m sure you have a reason for not taking these verses literally so I’m just asking what it is.]
Maybe you would like to answer this question since you claim to understand metaphors. Are the pillars of the earth just a metaphor or do the scriptures present them as a factual thing? Apparently T8 didn’t have an answer or just thought we would all forget the question was asked. Maybe you will be different and have an answer.
However, using falsehoods to project truth is not a metaphor. It may be the “anti-metaphor” bum, bum, bum….
MY Word is truth… but I AM presenting My Word in a way that is not true. What??? Does that make sense?
Do you see the problem? If His truth reaches the skies then how could the firmament not be true? He said there IS a firmament and in the Psalms it says there IS a firmament and this is after the flood of Noah’s day! Is the firmament a metaphor in your opinion since scientism says there is no firmament?
August 1, 2018 at 11:43 pm#833144Dig4truthParticipantPerhaps Psalm 19 would be a good example of metaphor and non-metaphor:
19 The heavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2 Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
4 Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has placed a tent for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.We can see that there is a tent for the sun, i.e., the firmament. No metaphor found here.
We can see that it is “as” (metaphor) a bridegroom coming out of his chamber. However, the metaphor does not destroy the truth that the sun comes out and not the earth. Otherwise it would not be “as” a bridegroom it would be “not as”.
We can see that the sun is “as” (metaphor) a strong man, rejoicing to run its course. However, the metaphor does not destroy the truth that the sun runs a course and not the earth. Otherwise it would not be “as” running a course it would be “not as”.
These are simple, metaphors were designed that way to grasp a “truth” in a simple way. They cannot, by their very nature mean the opposite thing and still be called a metaphor.
Remove the metaphor and you are left with “the sun runs its course”.
Remove the metaphor and you are left with “the sun comes out of his chamber”.
Metaphors are not a license to believe the opposite of the point that is being made. And that is my point.
Any thoughts on this one LU?

Forgot to answer your direct question. Yes, you are accurate. A metaphor is just that and is not meant to be taken literally. But they are used to give an example of the literal truth. I believe that is an important point.
When the sun is compared to a bridegroom who “comes out of his chamber” we do not have the license to say that the sun does not “come out” but the earth is the one moving. It has to do with truth. In order for a metaphor to be legitimate it has to be a truthful comparison.

Your statement is all based on misunderstanding.
The firmament is the expanse of the heavens. If those in antiquity thought it was a solid dome because that is how it looked to them, then that doesn’t make the Bible incorrect. Many people over the centuries have had differing views about what the beast and mark of the beast in Revelation for example. Lack of understanding does not make the Bible wrong or force us to believe in a massive conspiracy to suit one particular interpretation.
As for the pillars of the Earth, I took a look and you can clearly see from the context that it is not describing literal stone pillars holding up a disc. Let’s take a look:
I Samuel 2:8
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.”Clearly, the pillars of the earth are the leaders and the world sits upon their authority.
Job 9:6
“He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered? Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger. Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.”This is difficult to understand, but it appears on the outset to be talking about mountains which are not literal either. Mountains and rocks in scripture have a spiritual meaning. Like the rock that followed the children of Israel. Mountains in the Bible can symbolize obstacles and high places can refer to higher states of one’s mind in mediation to God. Thus, the pillars here that tremble could also be talking about leaders. After all, the verse starts with talking about the wise and mighty.
Psalm 75:3
“When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:”Again, pillars are referring to leaders and how he can remove them from their leadership leading to dissolution of wicked societies by righteous judgement. Horns are also symbols of power and dominion. “Horn of salvation” for example is means “salvation of strength” referring to our strong saviour ( Luke 1:69 ). Remember in Daniel and Revelation how it talks about a little horn and a goat with a horn vs a ram etc.
Mike and Dig. You need to have spiritual understanding to read the Bible. Carnal reading of scripture has led you to misunderstanding scripture combined with bad science.
Perhaps now you can understand why I said earlier in this discussion that you guys must be waiting for a Jesus to appear from the heavens with a literal two edged sword coming from his mouth. I said that because you are reading with a carnal mind. The meaning has been hidden from you because you need to be spiritually minded. Scripture is written this way so the wicked will not understand.
August 2, 2018 at 9:39 pm#833171Dig4truthParticipantT8, I guess you didn’t watch the video that LU posted, it was excellent! In it a noted Hebrew scholar, Dr. Michael Heiser gave the evidence that the ancient Hebrews did indeed believe in literal pillars and the hard firmament and that is indeed what the Bible teaches. His conclusion was that the Bible is simply wrong or not true about these things but that’s ok. Well, that’s not ok with me and I differ with him on his conclusion but not the evidence that the Bible does indeed teach a solid firmament and actual pillars holding up the earth.
Job 9:5-7 “It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger;
6 Who shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble; 7 Who commands the sun not to shine,
And sets a seal upon the stars;Notice all of the physical things that are mentioned? The is no metaphorical language here.
*By the way, where did you get your version of Job 9:6? It is not the same as mine!
Psalm 75:2-3 When I select an appointed time, It is I who judge with equity. 3 “The earth and all who dwell in it melt;
It is I who have firmly set its pillars.Which are the pillars holding up? The earth or “all” who dwell in it? Are ALL people pillars? Of course not, the clear meaning is the pillars of the earth. Why would God’s “pillars” melt under His judgment if they are His exalted people? They wouldn’t, they will shine like stars!
And lastly, please stop accusing me of something that is NOT true. You keep accusing me of taking the verse about Yeshua coming with a two edged sword in His mouth and claim that I take it literally. You have made this claim over and over and I have expressed that you are wrong and have taken the time to explain why you are wrong but you will not stop. I find this very offensive to me!
I even posted this addressing this very topic:
[Eph 6:7 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
t8, does the verse above say “IS” the Word of God or “IS LIKE” the Word of God? Could we say, as reasonable believers in Messiah Yeshua that we have an understanding about what it means when it says “and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.”?
But I guess my main question is will you stop using this verse to obfuscate the true issue?
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.]
As you can see from my use of Scripture that I have put this in proper context for you. I even made another appeal for you to stop this deception. But you have not. I can only understand that you are doing this to make me angry or to hurt me in some way. Congratulations.
Yeshua will come with the Word of God in His mouth and yes, it will do even more than a two edged sword can do. Then all the deceptions will be over. Come quickly Yeshua!
