Quote (Nick Hassan @ May 26 2014,20:10) hi MB,
Scripture says in 2 cor 5“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself”
but you say he was another god who did it all?
Hmmm……… even MORE deception, Nick?Show me where I said God was NOT in Christ.
Show me where I said Jesus was another god WHO DID IT ALL.
May 27, 2014 at 2:43 am#384671NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Are there any other words of Jesus you would like to state were not from the Holy Spirit? How long will you fight the Spirit of God.
Can your human wisdom win?May 27, 2014 at 2:43 am#384672mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 26 2014,20:13) Hi MB,
You say
“Yes, the Spirit of God has always been involved in Jesus' day to day activities.”But not including speaking through him??
I'm still waiting for that first scripture in the other thread.May 27, 2014 at 2:47 am#384673mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 26 2014,20:20) Hi MB,
“But NO, there is no such thing as a “Spirit of Anointing” that came to be IN Jesus.”
So what does CHRISTOS mean?
Again? Don't you READ my posts, Nick?“Christos” means “anointed (one)”. Get it? It ends with an “ed”, not an “ing”.
The “ing” version of the Greek word is only used three times in scripture. I quoted those scriptures for you somewhere today. But none of those three scriptures even mention the word “spirit”.
So there is no such scriptural thing as a “spirit of anointing”.

Answer the three questions I asked you on the second post of this page.
May 27, 2014 at 2:49 am#384675NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
.Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;.Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,May 27, 2014 at 2:50 am#384676NickHassanParticipanthi MB,
4.Acts 10:38
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.May 27, 2014 at 2:52 am#384677mikeboll64BlockedYes Nick,
Those are all nice scriptures. Is there anything in particular you would like to show me with them? Or are you just posting them for me because they are nice scriptures?

You say
“But NO, there is no such thing as a “Spirit of Anointing” that came to be IN Jesus.Instead, the spirit being Jesus BECAME the flesh man Jesus.”
Jesus was a spirit being??
That being became the flesh man??God did not anoint Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power??
acts 10May 27, 2014 at 2:59 am#384682NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
So were the works of power-including teaching- said to be from the “spirit man” or from the anointing of the Spirit in Acts 10?May 27, 2014 at 3:02 am#384687mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 26 2014,20:54) Hi MB,

Are you seriously saying that God can't anoint one of His angels with Holy Spirit and power?Besides, Jesus was A MAN at that time, so are you saying God can't anoint A MAN with Holy Spirit and power?
I don't see the contradiction that you think is there.

Three questions in the second post of the previous page. Do them FIRST, Nick.In fact, don't speak to me UNTIL you've answered all three of them.
May 27, 2014 at 3:04 am#384689NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
But you said it was a SPIRIT BEING
He is not a man or he is?No angels involved here so your theoretical approach is not relevant
May 27, 2014 at 3:07 am#384690NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
No spirit being

22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:May 27, 2014 at 3:16 am#384694942767ParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ May 27 2014,13:32) Quote (942767 @ May 26 2014,16:38) ……and that spirit…… is the life giving spirit that Jesus has become……….
You are half way home, Marty. You realize that Jesus is that spirit AT THIS TIME.Now you only need to believe that Jesus was that spirit BEFORE he emptied himself to be made in the likeness of a human being.
(This is why Jesus asked to be returned to the glory he had alongside God before the world began. He WAS that spirit, then became flesh, and then became that spirit again.)
You have the last part correct. Time to work on the first part.
I know that he has become that spirit now through the Word of God which he obeyed without sin unto death on the cross. It is this spirit that he became, but no, he was not that before he obeyed the Word of God as he did.
Quote 1Co 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.Quote Heb 5:8
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;Heb 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;Love in Christ,

MB thinks that Jesus was a spirit god, became a mortal man and then became a spirit again.
Such natural thinking tries to justify the work of the Spirit of Christ in logical termsbut it is false

OR WOULD THIS BE PART OF MORE INTENSIVE STUDIES TO THE NEW CONVERTS ,

Nickif what mike says is false ,why do you have to go through so big a length to explain your simple truth
you never answer neither my or mike's question regarding Christ preexistence why is that
May 27, 2014 at 7:29 pm#384802NickHassanParticipantHi T,
In what way has Peter changed his mind?
Jesus of Nazareth was just an ordinary man till the Jordan
The fact that Jesus became the Son of God by anointing at the Jordan is still trueMay 27, 2014 at 7:31 pm#384804NickHassanParticipantHi T,
Why?
Because he is yet to hear the Spirit and God wants very much that he could. - AuthorPosts
