Hi Nick,
You: You would divide the Lord Jesus Christ from the abiding Spirit of life?
Me: Yes, of course.
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead,
Without Christ really dyeing, there would be no true sacrifice.
You:
When he was proving that death did not take away the eternal life of the anointed ones ?
wierd.Me: Yes, you are weird. You hadn’t even spelled weird correctly. Christ was the son of God, not God almighty. God Almighty cannot die. Christ did. And you do not understand the biblical meaning of sleep vs death. Let Christ explain.
John 11:11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. 13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. 14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Me: Can you not see the principles here. Death is considered a sleep if it is not permanent. Jodi had gotten it right.
1 Cor 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
Me: Got it. The dead in Christ are in a perished mode without the resurrection of Christ.

Jn 4.14

But you would change this to say that there would be an interruption at death but the supply would resume later.Me:
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet______; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)Me: Seems like no one had received the holy spirit between Johh 4:14 and John 7:38-39 when Christ said he would give them drink. Why, because the spirit of God did not have Christ in it. It was still work in process because Christ’s mind was not in it until he was glorified. No one other than Christ had received the holy spirit between John the Baptist and John 20:22. And no one had receive the promise in the holy spirit until Pentecost. That promise was eternal life made possible by the Messiah’s sacrifice and ascension into heaven.
Phil 1:23 (interlinear bible) I am pressed indeed between the two the desire having for myself to depart and be with Christ to be very much more better 24 but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for the sake of you.
Young’s Literal Translation
Phil 1:23 for I am pressed by the two, having the desire to depart, and to be with Christ, for it is far better, 24 and to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account,Me: After Christ’s ascension into heaven, those that were dead in the OT would resurrect spiritually into heaven (John 5:25). Those followers that died physically after Christ’s ascension would go directly into heaven spiritually. Both groups will never die thereafter. The body is redeemed at the first resurrection.

The spirit of every human born on earth returns to God at death Eccl 12.7
Indeed Job need not worry about being remembered as he will hear the Voice of the Son.Me: As I tried to explain to you earlier, Christ’s spirit at birth was the holy spirit, and only the holy spirit. He could not sin because of this.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.Me: He was the only one born like this, the only begotten of the father.
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit,…
Me: This verse is speaking of both the collective body or church and Christ individually. When speaking of Christ individually, he has only one spirit, the holy spirit. So will we.
1 Cor 15:45 New American Standard Bible
So also it is written, “The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL.” The last (man was deleted) Adam became a life-giving spirit.Me: Christ became a life giving spirit because his human mind was in the holy spirit. There is only one spirit in the end.

The meek shall inherit the earth.
But some go directly to heaven you say?
Heaven is the throne of God and not the inheritance of men.
August 9, 2018 at 7:45 am#833424NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
Jesus really and truly died as men do.
He gave up his spirit on Calvary.
“I was dead and now am alive”
He tasted death for all men and showed it holds nothing to fear for the anointed ones.
August 9, 2018 at 8:14 am#833425NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
As with all men the human spirit of Jesus returned to God at his death.
But the Holy Spirit in him abided and raised him so that he is the firstborn from the dead.
The NEW creation is all in the eternal Spirit of God and God will again dwell on earth in the new Jerusalem
August 9, 2018 at 8:36 am#833426NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
‘ You should know’
What do you mean?
Where did I say you CANNOT lose the Anointing Spirit?
August 9, 2018 at 8:40 am#833427NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
‘When you quench the Spirit it goes out’
I see you mean like extinguishing a flame.
No suggestion that the faithful Spirit leaves.
But if submit to God then we walk in the Spirit.
August 9, 2018 at 9:15 am#833428NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
2tim 2.11
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him we shall also live with him:
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him he also will deny us:
If we believe not yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
August 9, 2018 at 9:28 am#833429NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
Those alive in Christ are already spiritually seated with him in the heavenlies.
Eph 2.5
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,(by grace ye are saved;)
and hath raised us up together ,and made us sit together in heavenly places with Christ Jesus.
Col 3.1
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth at the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
August 9, 2018 at 9:58 am#833430NickHassanParticipantHi TC,
Rom 8.11
But if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.
The Holy Spirit dwells in us even after death to quicken our bodies at the resurrection.

August 9, 2018 at 11:20 am#833433NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
Those who sleep in Christ are dead in the eyes of men.
August 9, 2018 at 11:21 am#833434NickHassanParticipantHi Gene,
Those in Hades are also dead in the eyes of men.
August 9, 2018 at 11:22 am#833435AnthonyParticipantHi Nick
You said:
Hi Anthony,
Gehenna was created for the devil and his angels, not for man.
Hades is just a place of waiting.(page 211)
I say
The geographical area that was a symbol of fiery judgment was the Valley of Hinnom (Gehenna) at the southeast corner of Jerusalem
It was the city dump. Normally, fires were set in the region to burn up the refuse. If dead bodies were placed there in time of war (or sometimes in pagan rituals), worms would emerge to destroy the carcasses. This is what Isaiah 66:24 and Mark 9:44–48 are talking about. Of course, the fires were in a separate area from the worms because worms cannot live in flames.
The whole thing was intended to be figurative in the first place. Gehenna (hell) was known as Tophet (Isaiah 30:33 with Jeremiah 7:31) and remarkably the entire area will one day become holy to the Lord (Jeremiah 31:38–40). There will certainly not be any eternal fires in Gehenna. (The “unquenchable fires” of Matthew 3:12 are fires that cannot be put out with water or soil until they have consumed all the combustible material.) God bless
August 9, 2018 at 11:24 am#833436AnthonyParticipantNick. Hades= grave no more no less
August 9, 2018 at 12:12 pm#833437NickHassanParticipantHi Anthony,
Is this the common grave of mankind and if so where is it?
Or does it mean the millions of individual graves and if so why do you speak of them as one?
There are over 70 references to Sheol and they seem to describe a place in the earth but you just deny all of these?
August 9, 2018 at 12:15 pm#833438NickHassanParticipantHi Anthony,
Fear Him Who has the power to destroy body and soul in Gehenna. Mt 10.28
This is the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Was Jesus just referring to the dump?
August 9, 2018 at 12:19 pm#833439NickHassanParticipantHi Anthony,
The Jewish people were very aware of the place called Sheol or the Pit.
But you think they were just deluded?
So after the judgement(if you believe in it) what happens to those who died in their sins?
What happens to the false prophet and Satan?
Just symbolic in your view?
