What (to you) does it mean to be Earthly (of the flesh) and what does it mean to be Spiritual minded?
What is from above and what is from below?
Here is a starter:

To stay within the world of God of life and peace (and love), you need to let go of the flesh.
What do you consider to be the mind of the flesh.

Dew………….Very Good understanding of what the mind of the Flesh is and the Mind of the Spirit is meant by Paul's writings. The spiritual mind is a mind that serves GOD and love his neighbor as himself, the carnal (flesh) mind loves himself and what is his only. If we sow to the flesh we will reap death, if we sow to the Spirit we will reap Life. WE need to let this mind be in us , the mind that was (IN) Jesus the Christ.

Emnity is darkness, corruption, rebellion, wickedness. An evil heart of deceit, envy, EMNITY.
Our hearts of stone had to be circumsized.
When you have the Holy Spirit, your hearts are circumsized. But what creeps in and changes our hearts again? How to we 'Get Back' to what we once were?

Good question. Obviously if you sense the Lord is leading you to do something or to stop doing something and you don't follow that leading, then you are walking in the flesh and not in the spirit. For real life examples…if you are mean to someone and God prompts you to ask for forgiveness with a sincere heart but you don't, then you are walking according to your flesh and not your spirit. Also if God prompts you to stop posting on HN and you continue to post on HN or something like that…a direct command, then you are walking according to your flesh and not your spirit. Walking according to your flesh will not bring you the peace that passes all understanding but walking as led by the spirit will. So, if you have no peace and you feel convicted, then you have to examine your actions and see if you have been either not seeking God's direction and following it, or you have been seeking God's direction but not following it.Know what the Bible says about God's character and be wise to the schemes of satan by prayerfully reading God's word and becoming very familiar with it. Take every thought captive and ask yourself if your thoughts line up with God's character, if not change your thoughts so that they do.
2 Corinthians 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Firstly, I would like to address the last post(er).

Now to the actual topic, good Topic choice.
To be Earthly is to have your mind on Earthly things. That which is from above is powerful, it can move hearts, it can save people, it can turn a crowd around, it can bring back the lost sheep, and calm a storm. Anything from above is good. When you are on your knees in prayer in tears to God the Father, God the Father through the Son and Holy Spiirt, can move you and fill you with happiness and joy and peace, and this is a life saver. Something beyond description. Anything of Earth is weak and temporary and does no real good. Yes, people can get active in things like saving the planet and feeding the homeless, etc. This is all good, and is from above. As James says, this is true religion. But remember too that to feed the hungry and the naked and the thirsty can be with spiritual food and clothes and water. The water Jesus has is living water. It can save lives for eternity.
Truth is never malice, Shimmer. We are to embrace the truth. Truth sets us free! Disobedience to God will not.
James 1:22But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. 25But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.
