While God does give us “freedom” to do those thing, our “captivated” will’s wants to, the Will’s “themselves” are far from free.
Obviously you do not believe this. You demonstrate this by your vain attempts to convince us that we do not have free will. This strategy of yours relies on us choosing to believe you using free will. That is the funniest part of the debate. I guess you can’t see that somehow. And in case you didn’t realize, no one takes you seriously. I do not even think Jodi does as you are her student.

A video about politics for example does not debunk free will. It proves that we have it.
Break the pride that has you imprisoned against your will. God always provides a way of escape. Take it. But first believe that you can choose for the best and in the big picture. Some choices are only short term. Choose long-term benefits like eternal life and reward in heaven over earthly treasures that are now. If you heart is right, you will choose even suffering in this age to gain the eternal rewards. But only if your heart is right.
It’s your choice and only your choice to make. God won’t force you either way, but he will encourage you.

Can’t you do it yourself , after all God wants you to do it on your own right?, now who is talking with a forked tounge? Fact is God the Father hast to completely change our hearts, and minds and not only just that but has to abide “in’ us for ever , and himself write his laws in our inwaer parts. our we would return to sin, so how does that stack up with your false teaching od a so-called “freewill” teachings.
And the videos you and Edj posted “completely” disagree with what both of you have said. Go back and give it another try , this time you might, get it.

It is precisely that which preserves free will.
If God never gave us his Spirit and power, then we would die in our sins because the flesh would have its way every time.
Just the same when the enemy comes in like a flood, he will pour out his Spirit to counter that. He provides a means of escape when needed. But you still have to choose it. God also placed two trees in the garden so we could choose.
You obviously have chosen not to believe that you can freely choose using your own will.

God providing us a means of escape of being held captive to sin, by Jesus
dying on a cross for our sins, in NO WAY means “Free Will” is false ???The odd beliefs you hold to are beyond the pale.

Ed JEdj……I thought you said you have a will that is “free”, so how can you be “held captive”?.
You still don’t get it , there exists no such thing as a Will , that is “free” A will is the result of our “captivated thoughts” those things that “most influence us” . Just as it say, “when they knew God they glorified him not as God, therefore God turned them over, (where) “in their minds” to do those thing that are unseemly, sexual perversions , greed , lust of all kinds, all as a result of God turning them over “IN THEIR MINDS’ to WILL TO do it.
There exists no such thing as a will that is free, if the mind is kept by God , so is the Will, just as it say, “for it is God that works “IN” you both to “WILL” and do of “HIS” good pleasure” HOW? , by controlling the thoughts of our minds , by his holy spirit he gives us.
The whole concept of a will that is free is false, because no will is the result of anything that is free, not now or in the future either. THE term “freewill” is an OXYMORON.
