Quote (Lightenup @ Oct. 15 2010,20:38) Hi Mike,
Do you know of any scriptures that tell us to honor someone other than Christ, 'just as' we honor the Father?
Kathii always wandering how is it that we can honor the Father ,and the Son,??
we can not see the father ,and touch him,and talk to him same way we talk together, SO HOW CAN WE HONOR THE FATHER?
NOW on the other hand we have seen and touched Christ.
he walked with us on the planet,he eat with us,drink with us.
sleep with us,fish with us ,speak with us,die among us.how CAN WE give HONOR TO THE SON SO THAT THE FATHER WOULD BE HONORED AS WELL?

Those are good questions.
For starters:
we believe IN both of them,
we follow both of them
we recognize them both as Lord over us
we recognize them as our creator
we surrender our lives to them
we forgive others and love others and care for others to honor them
we trust them both, etc.Remember that we have 'seen' the Father in a sense because Christ appeared in the flesh and manifested the Father's character, wisdom, and power to us. In a sense, if you have seen one, you have seen the other.

kathiwe believe IN both of them, we trust them both, etc
we follow both of them
we surrender our lives to them
we recognize (both)only Christ as Lord over us
we recognize (God only) as our creatori have rearrange the quotes as you can see,the reason is that it is to me impossible to honor God unless you know him,to know him you have to read and become familiarized with his word the scriptures, then and only then can we fallow him or in other words obey him,and by obeying him we render him honor ,by placing in the right place in our hearths, this was given to the Jews to do,
but wen Jesus Christ came ,the son of God ,gives us the practical way of doing Gods will and taught us how we can become the children of God,not children of Christ ,of his father ,he Jesus, teach us all things required to be approved by his father,
so by listen to the words of the son of God and believing in those words to be true, has we acknowledge them coming from the father then and only then we render honor and glory to God and to the son.
to the son ,because we have believed him and truth him even to death,
by doing this we honor and glory the father ,because we have believed in the one he as send to us with his words
his only son Jesus Christ.but all of this is only true to the ones who really believe it and do it .
and i believe those who put to practice the words of God that he as given to us ,understand s God message.
because they know God and is son Jesus Christ as God and Lord.Pierre

i like this spalm;Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Ps 73:2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
Ps 73:3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Ps 73:4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
Ps 73:5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
Ps 73:6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Ps 73:7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Ps 73:8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
Ps 73:9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
Ps 73:10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Ps 73:11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
Ps 73:12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Ps 73:13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
Ps 73:14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Ps 73:15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
Ps 73:16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
Ps 73:17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
Ps 73:18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Ps 73:19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
Ps 73:20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
Ps 73:21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
Ps 73:22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
Ps 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
Ps 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Ps 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Ps 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.it is one of my favored.

Yes, this is exactly right.Further, Worship is greater than Honor.
Keith implies that to do the greater is to do the lesser, but while this is in fact, true, it is the wrong way to view this matter.
It is like saying, 'When I see the Father, I see the Son, too'
No, it is 'When I see the Son, I also see the Father'.
Sorry everyone. It may be a subtle difference but read it through several time and use your own examples…
Who is the greater, and who is the lesser? Scriptural refinement at hand. The Son reflect the nature of the father, not the Father reflects the nature of the Son.
The Honor is less than the Worship, or, 'the Worship is greater than the Honor'.Keith appears to not understand heirachy due to desperation to make them equal.
It must be hard to keep doing that in the face of such overwhelming scriptural evidence.
Only one outcome can prevail…one must deliberately force a false meaning each and everytime, and ignore the false exposition made his previous posts and all qualifying evidence against him.
What a tragect waste of his 'God Status'.October 15, 2010 at 2:38 pm#220010JustAskinParticipantTerra,
Revelations tell us to Honor, Praise and Glorify the Father And the Lamb, but Worship, alone, is given to HIM (Singular) who sits on the throne bathed in glorious light. Him, in front of whom they cast their crowns (What does this symbolise? What does the 'Crown' represent and the 'casting' at HIS feet…? Examine ancient rituals and 'submissions of Subordinate kings' to greater authority, different from 'submission of DEFEATED Kings')October 15, 2010 at 6:08 pm#220040terrariccaParticipantQuote (JustAskin @ Oct. 16 2010,08:38) Terra,

JAyes you right, but this will be done at the end wen all domination will be subject to God ,king means authorities, given your crown mean submission, this is all in accord with scriptures ,because at the end even Christ submits himself to God.this will include the 144k with him(king)

Thanks for sharing your favorite Psalm. I like this part:Ps 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

Ps 73:25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Ps 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. You are right that we need to believe in the Father and the Son and are actions should show that.

Very nice JA! Mixed in among the many scriptures that CLEARLY distinquish Jesus as someone other than and lessor to God, you have found one that subtly says it louder than many of the “clearly stated” ones.I for one had previously overlooked the importance of this one subtle statement.
Good work and thank you for pointing this out.
peace and love,

Hi Kathi and Pierre,I also really enjoyed that Psalm. Although I had to read it in the NIV because it is so hard for me to read that Olde English smoothly and flowingly. It's funny how those last lines could also be said word for word by Jesus himself.
23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.27 Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.28 But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds.peace and love,

You are right that Jesus could exactly have said the same words. This would be something to be added to the 'Fractal Scriptures' thread.
