The words were from the Bishop and also the new convert. Btw, according to you no one better be caught being a servant of Christ. Tell that to Paul, a bondservant of Christ's.

That story has nothing to do with Paul.
Kathiwhat i was saying it look like, instant conversion,Paul conversion may have look that way but he was very knowledgeable in scriptures.
that was my point.so i do not give credit to the story .the scriptures say not to believe all thing but to test it ,to see if it come s from God.

How did you test that story? Did you research who Addaeus the apostle was and what he taught? And if God said we could eat the flesh of only one particular giraffe, then would it be okay to eat the flesh of that giraffe's son, just because it had the “nature” of that one particular giraffe?mike
September 8, 2010 at 5:53 am#215380JustAskinParticipantWhat is the “Nature” of God.
Many famous arguments depend on one person mistaking the definition of a point for something else – or both simply disagreeing although both talking the same thing.
This discussion has reached a stalemate – only one thing to do (or two…but forget the second0: Reach for DEFINITION of the term in dispute: What IS THE NATURE of God?
When both of you agree the definition then continue the discussion…

Look back over the past year, your obsession with what one person is doing, why two different treatments ? If WJ worships Jesus and LU worships Jesus, why say “One doesnt actually mean it” duh ? I may have been 'obsessed' with hepling a Muslim, but that's different,
September 8, 2010 at 10:45 am#215437shimmerParticipantAlso, “Does God procreate” ? Well, scripture doesnt say, does it ?

correct,
LU and i were debating for the longest in another thread,
when finally in this thread i have discovered we basically
believe in the same thing, but say it in a different way,
and for that reason we debated for the misunderstanding.Understanding is the key to open the door of Truth.
If we cannot understand what we are communicating to eachother than its nonsense to debate somethign that we do not understand.September 8, 2010 at 8:40 pm#215496terrariccaParticipantQuote (Lightenup @ Sep. 08 2010,22:28) Quote (terraricca @ Sep. 07 2010,23:26) Quote (Lightenup @ Sep. 08 2010,22:06) Mike,

September 8, 2010 at 10:06 pm#215501JustAskinParticipantHi Shimmer, Welcome back.
Maybe the stake in my eye … I see my error. Thank you for showing me.
To respond, though – See SF's response – this sums it up nicely. Such hope of the revelation and the reality are much welcomed.
Too often I see two people debating a point with counter intuitive reasoning – too close in to see that they one is saying “I” and the other is saying “Eye” and both right in themselves for their view point but completely lacking any possibility of convergence to satisfactory agreement.
if they had only stopped to define what they both meant then perhaps the debate would take a different, more agreeable path, maybe!
As for the Muslim, when two people are arguing – they often don't realise how much they repeat the same point over and over – that's why there is such things as Mediation where a third party can derail the circular one track argument or set the train of disagreement into a siding and blow off some steam – toot – toooooot – toot tooooooooottt!!!
Seek the DEFINITION Before the argument starts to kick off because it will be hard to check oneself once that train is in full moment under full steam heading downwards to destructiveness in a buffer.
Good to see you askin' – Just, though!

You very firmly down to earth on that last post…
September 8, 2010 at 10:16 pm#215503LightenupParticipantPierre,
I don't know if we are told if the angels were made in God's image and we know that originally satan was an angel. I know man is made in God's image and that the Son of God IS God's image.Col 1:15
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
NASUSo, I wouldn't exactly say that Christ reflects God's image but that He IS God's image as in the above verse. The Son is also the exact representation of God's nature and the radiance of His glory.
Heb 1:3-4
3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4 having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.
