Proclaimer,
To say the FATHER is Spirit and the WORD is Spirit and the HOLY SPIRIT is Spirit is simply stating they share the same nature. It does not mean the WORD is the HOLY SPIRIT. Men and Women are humans. They share the same nature but Men are not therefore Women. Together they are MAN(kind) in the image and likeness of ELOHIM. The FATHER is eternal, the WORD is eternal and the SPIRIT is eternal. They share the same existence. Men are mortal, Women are mortal. They share the same mortal existence and corruption, “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption”.
June 30, 2020 at 1:31 am#864691GeneBalthropParticipantCarmel…..Here is what Jesus said “after”, he was resurected,
Luke 24:39….Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself, and see, for a Spirit hath not “Flesh” and “bone”, as you see me have.
This all took place after Jesus was resurected. The liar here is you and your corupt “mystery religion” , you spue out of your mind here, adding to and taking away from our scriptures, forcing our text to say things it does not say nor even hints at.
Repent Carmel, and pray for forgiveness, or you will suffer the consequences of your foolishness.IMO

YOU: To say the FATHER is Spirit and the WORD is Spirit and the HOLY SPIRIT is Spirit is simply stating they share the same nature.
ME: Woman and Men have a human mind/spirit and as humans they hold limitations as to what they can do.
“There is but ONE GOD, the FATHER”
“ONE GOD and FATHER OF ALL, WHO IS ABOVE ALL”
Our ONE GOD the FATHER is all powerful and all knowing, THE SOURCE of wisdom, THE SOURCE of righteousness. HIS SPIRIT is HOLY (SET APART, APART FROM ANY OTHER BEING)
“he saw the Spirit OF GOD descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:”
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Pilgrim, our ONE TRUE GOD THE FATHER is not flesh as you know, He is a spirit being who exists with infinite wisdom and power and is of righteous character, such is His Spirit, which as said is set apart from all others (Holy).
That which our Father speaks is done, it cannot be held back, “I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it“. His creation, His purpose displays His character, His wisdom, and the power OF HIS OWN WORDS.
The Holy Spirit IS our ONE TRUE GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, His Spirit is of love, and when we have love in our hearts it means we have been born of His Spirit of love. Our Father can share with us His Spirit, giving us His wisdom, His understanding, His council and might, His kindness, His patience…etc.
We are the only creature He made on earth that He created to be capable of coming to know who He is and that which He is the source of. We are the only creature that He made on earth able to become made in His image, where the fruits of HIS Spirit can abide in us.

YOU: The son of David was raised from the dead
becoming an eternal Son of God,
a first begotten from the dead of many,
God’s promise to be ALL IN ALL.
YOU ALSO SAID IN MANY OF YOUR POSTS THAT JESUS
BECAME THE SON OF GOD
ON HIS BAPTISM.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world,
as to give his only begotten Son:
that whosoever believeth in him may not perish, but may have life everlasting
In the above, Jesus asserted THAT BEFORE HE DIED,
HE WAS ALREADY THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, AND ALSO
ETERNAL LIFE.
Now read Acts 13:33 This same God hath fulfilled to our children, raising up Jesus, as in the second psalm also is written:
Thou art my Son:
THIS DAY have I begotten thee.
IN THE ABOVE IT IS WELL CLEAR THAT JESUS
ON HIS RESURRECTION BECAME
THE BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD!
Answer please Jodi:
WHY JESUS ON HIS RESURRECTION BECAME
THE BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, WHEN HE WAS
ALREADY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD BEFORE HE DIED?
Peace and love in Jesus Christ
June 30, 2020 at 10:13 am#864703JodiParticipantHi Carmel,
John 3:16 For God so loved the world,
as to give his only begotten Son:
that whosoever believeth in him may not perish, but may have life everlasting
In the above, Jesus asserted THAT BEFORE HE DIED,
HE WAS ALREADY THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, AND ALSO
ETERNAL LIFE.
ME: First of all the Son was made perfect through learning obedience where he BECAME our author of eternal life. Second, he was raised from the dead by our One True God the Father, where he received the promised Holy Spirit, also said on that day to have been begotten by God, also said to be a first begotten of the dead.
Jesus did assert before he died, he gave prophecy to his own future.
John 3: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Carmel, God gave His Son, who was perfected through suffering, to die for the payment of our sins. The Son of man had to be lifted up on the cross and die so that we would not perish but have eternal life.
Jesus was SENT upon having been filled with the Spirit, given the mission to go out and preach God’s word, where God knew full well people would want to persecute and kill him for it. When the time was at hand God GAVE Jesus over to the hearts of men to do that which they desired, kill Jesus.
Prophecy was given by Isaiah that God was going to call a man to righteousness and DIRECT ALL his ways, and those who are LED by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God.
Jesus was the ONLY MORTAL man to have God’s Spirit come upon him to direct all his ways, holding his hand and keeping him for to GIVE him for a covenant (promise to free us from the penalty of our sins). When he was raised from the dead he became the firstborn of many humans who will for all eternity have God’s Spirit upon them directing all their ways, the very reason WHY Paul tells us that we are heirs of God, JOINT heirs with the ANOINTED.

Further, there is no Trinity. There is the Father and the Son. One is God and the other is the son of that God, which is the true God.
Just as Eve is not Adam, so Jesus is not God. Yes, Jesus came in the flesh, but he existed with divine nature. That nature doesn’t make you God. After all, we are told we can share in that nature and we are sons or children of God.
Likewise, Eve is adam but not Adam. What does that mean? It means that Adam is the first man a particular person of the human race. What does ‘adam’ mean? It means man or mankind. So Eve is adam, but not Adam. What is the difference? Identity and nature. If people understood the difference, there would be no Trinity Doctrine. So just because Jesus may be divine, that doesn’t make him God.
Finally, the head of the woman is the man the head of Christ is God. There is a divine order that most tread into the mud.
June 30, 2020 at 9:43 pm#864706PilgrimParticipantHi Proclaimer,
Thanks for drawing my attention to the fact you don’t teach that the Word is the Holy Spirit. My post should have been directed to Edj.
Cheers.
Re: Your comment Eve is not Adam, so Jesus is not God misses what I was saying and the truth. Eve and Adam are both in substance (essence, nature) human (flesh and blood) but with different roles. The biological difference between Man and Woman is their chromosomes but not their humanity. The Word and the Father are both in substance (essence, nature) spirit but have different roles. That the Word IS God is clearly stated in John 1:1 plus we in this same chapter the truth that Jesus, who is the WORD made flesh, was as the WORD the creator for it says “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (v.3) and later “the world was made by him, and the world knew him not” (v.10). In addition there are several other scriptures that indicate his involvement as Creator in creation, one example being Colossians 1:15-17.
July 1, 2020 at 2:06 am#864707GeneBalthropParticipantPilgrim……Wrong God and his word are spirit and are one, and all those who have his Spirit and do his words that are “in” then , are one with God the Father, the exact same as Jesus was, because he alway did what pleased the Father. Who was his and our, “only” true God.
All those who try to “seperate God’s word, from “himself “, are “THIEVES” AND “LIARS”, OR SIMPLY BLIND DECIEVERS.
The word of God is God, he and his words are one and the same thing, just as you and your words are. No one can remove God from his words, just as no one can remove you from your words.
This whole thing of trying to make Jesus into GOD’S WORD, as if the word was seperate from God the Father, is a “LIE” generated by Satan himself . Who wants us all to believe Jesus was “different” then we are, in order to make mankind believe they could never reach t h e status of Jesus , the anointed man of God. This “DOCTRINE OF SEPERATION” was being instuted at the very beginning when the CHURCH started, by the GNOSTIC’S under the influence of Satan himself. They started turning “THE MAN” JESUS INTO A GOD, 2THS2, to those who have ears to hear.
Peace and love to you and yours. ……..gene

“Jesus Christ the faithful witness” is indeed “the first begotten from the dead”, “God having raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption”, and gave Him “the sure mercies of David”, an eternal throne, Jesus becoming “the firstfruits of them that slept”, “For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming”.
God having raised Christ from the dead, “set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body”.
And ”God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved believers, even when believers were dead in sins (I.e. were dead in trespasses and sins) He quickened together with Christ, by grace saving them and raising them up together, and making them sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Christ being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, shed forth the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost birthing the church and in the days following by the same means added to the church such as should be saved, Christ being the baptiser with the Holy Spirit and Fire.
Indeed in Matthew 10:20 we read Jesus said to his disciples “the Spirit of your Father” will speak in them. But we know from Mark 13:11 and Luke 12:12 that that Spirit is the Holy Ghost. Now if as you say “the Holy Spirit is our one true God our Heavenly Father”, you are saying Christ (the raised and exalted Man) received God the Father himself and baptised men and women into God the Father himself. But scripture teaches that “by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, (the church, the body of Christ) whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:13).
When Jesus prior to His ascension told the disciples to wait for “the promise of the Father” he was speaking of the baptism with the Holy Ghost when they “receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and be witnesses” unto Jesus everywhere they were sent.
Jesus baptised men and women with the person of the Holy Spirit who was the other comforter, the Spirit Of Truth (Christ) to come who as Jesus said would guide them into all truth: “for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify ME: for he shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you” (John 16:13-14). All things that the Father had belonged to Jesus “therefore said I (Jesus), that he (the Holy Spirit) shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you”.
The language of such texts clearly speak of three in action towards disciples, the Father sending the Holy Spirit to Christ Jesus who then poured forth (baptised) the waiting disciples with the person of the received Holy Spirit.
From the day of Pentecost on the Holy Spirit spoke to and through the Apostles and does so today, God according to his mercy saving men and women, Jew and Gentile by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he sheds on them abundantly through Jesus Christ their Saviour.
Glory be to God, what a glorious gospel.
July 1, 2020 at 4:39 am#864710JodiParticipantGood Morning Pilgrim,
Pilgrim, our ONE TRUE HOLY GOD the Father who is ABOVE ALL, HIS OWN Spirit is THE Holy Spirit.
As said, the Spirit of our God the Father is righteous and is our SOURCE to gain our own righteousness, the Spirit of our Father is all knowing having infinite wisdom and is our SOURCE to gaining wisdom and knowing that which is true. Moses, Jesus, the Apostles performed signs and miracles through having our Father’s Spirit bestowed upon them. The prophets spoke our Father’s word, that word was sent to them because the Spirit of our God holds the power to cause men to receive His word through various means.
Gene says it exactly right, “The word of God is God, he and his words are one and the same thing, just as you and your words are. No one can remove God from his words, just as no one can remove you from your words.”
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words OF God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
THE SPIRIT in John 3 IS the Spirit of our Lord God the Father.
Jesus preached to us THE WORD OF our ONE GOD THE FATHER, those were our one God the Father’s WORDS and by them we see His holy character, and by them we are taught what His plan for mankind has been since before the world even existed. Jesus speaks the words OF our one God the Father because the HOLY SPIRIT OF our one God the Father came to rest upon him.
Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
Pilgrim, the LORD’s SPIRIT is that of wisdom and understanding, and He is able to share His wisdom and understanding with us.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
This is our One True God The Father’s character, His Spirit that comes to dwell in us.
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: 12 For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations. 11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Made directly clear by these passages, the Holy Spirit IS most certainly the Spirit of our heavenly Father, the Spirit in Matthew is the exact same Spirit spoken of in Luke and Mark.
“The Spirit of your Father”, is THE Holy Spirit this should be obvious, as our Father is ABOVE ALL, He is the author of HOLINESS, and thus it is His Spirit that is THE HOLY SPIRIT.
July 1, 2020 at 5:33 am#864711JodiParticipantHi Pilgrim,
YOU:
ME: This is what I say,
When Jesus was raised from the dead he received the promised Holy Spirit, he was on that day begotten of God. Our Father’s Spirit came to dwell ALL IN him for all eternity.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
THE WORD that Christ spoke were our ONE TRUE GOD THE FATHER’S WORDS, and those words dwell in us where upon our faith in them it counts as our righteousness and makes us worthy to be raised as Jesus was raised.
Mark 10:39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them,Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized: 40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
The body of Christ is the body of a man who has our One True God THE FATHER’S Spirit dwelling within upon full measure.
The body represents the full measure of the Spirit, God ALL IN, being in full unity with God by His Spirit where He directs all your ways and you follow His will. We are heirs of God, JOINT heirs with the anointed Jesus, and those who are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God.
This prophecy is not yet completed,
Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. 6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. 9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. 10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Jesus is appointed to judge the earth, he is appointed to baptize and share of THE SAME CUP that God shared with him, God’s Spirit. As Jesus had on earth shared God’s word, and the words he shared were Spirit and they were life, he is returning to share with us the very fulfillment of that word, where he gives us the Spirit of God to dwell within us where it springs forth unto life, as the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Ezekiel 36: 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Our God is not three persons, our God IS ONE, and we are ONE with Him as Jesus is through God’s Spirit. There is ONE Spirit because there is but ONE TRUE GOD THE FATHER, and as THE FATHER is HOLY His Spirit thus is THE HOLY SPIRIT.
There is but ONE GOD, and He has appointed the first man from the dead begotten by God, to put down all enemies and give forth God’s Spirit so that God made be ALL IN ALL. He is a Son because he is led by God’s Spirit as it dwells in him, and we being joint heirs with him, promised to be made in his image so that he would be a firstborn of many brethren, we too shall be Sons by being led in all things by that same ONE SPIRIT.
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
July 1, 2020 at 6:08 am#864712JodiParticipantHi Pilgrim,
YOU:
When Jesus prior to His ascension told the disciples to wait for “the promise of the Father” he was speaking of the baptism with the Holy Ghost when they “receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and be witnesses” unto Jesus everywhere they were sent.
ME: Jesus had the Spirit OF God upon him without measure and by such he spoke God’s word, he gave prophecy, he healed, performed signs and wonders. He was appointed by God to baptize people with the same Spirit he was baptized with, given out in measures, where together they could continue Jesus’s work, which was to bring us into faith and hope in our One True God the Father.
1 Peter 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
The glory that he received is our glory,
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Christ is not God part of a trinity, he is a man who is an heir of God’s Spirit as we are joint heirs with him, his glory is our glory, and that glory was declared before the world began, eternal life. Jesus received that glory when he was raised from the dead, no longer able to return to corruption he received the promised mercies of David, he was begotten by God, having God’s Spirit dwell in him, and where the Spirit is there is righteousness, and where there is righteousness there is life forever more.
WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD THAT WAS WORKING IN JESUS TO BRING US INTO FAITH IN GOD, FAITH THAT OUR FATHER’S SPIRIT CAUSES RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THUS BRINGS FORTH LIFE ETERNAL.
Our belief in Jesus is to believe that he was a Son of God, a man begotten of God’s Spirit, called to righteousness where God LED all his ways. God approved of him when he learned obedience going to the cross, remaining like that of a lamb without spot or blemish. Because he was not worthy of death God raised this son of David from the dead and gave him the Spirit for all eternity to dwell in him, where God promised to be a Father unto him and settle him into His house forever more, and give him the throne of his father David, where he will sit upon it according to the flesh. This given to us in word, so that we may desire to drink from the same cup that Jesus drank from, that we may desire to be baptized with the same baptism Jesus was baptized with, and desire to sit along side Jesus on his throne, where One Spirit, the Spirit of our One God the Father leads us in all the ways that we should go.

Since this thread is titled Born and begotten, I thought this would be the appropriate place to discuss Jesus’s conception.
YOU:
Jodi,
You want me to prove to you Joseph is not Jesus biological father?
ME: I am interested in seeing what your proof is.

Hi Jodi,
I got a better idea. Since you now appear to be willing (because of “Free Will” Gene),
to help establish truth instead of giving endless opinions back and forth. I have
Imported this to a thread where it will not be lost in endless pages of opinions. This thread is similar to: “Is Jesus “The Word” Yes or No?”
Threads like these foster endless opinions based on very few non-definitive verses.
So everyone goes back and forth and never really nails down any truth – which can be referenced over and over. That is why I say: “I want to establish truth” – Truth that can be easily seen – not merely someone’s opinion ‘of truth’.

Why is Jesus called the second Adam if you say he came from Adam???

God bless
