kw
so faith in God does not count in your view ?
August 25, 2015 at 10:29 am#802444NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You glorify men and not God.
Flesh contributes nothing.
August 25, 2015 at 11:51 am#802455kerwinParticipantTerraricca,
There have been human beings that have faith in God form the creation of Adam but after the fall these humans have always looked forward to the time of Christ for in that time is something greater. We live in that time.
Why would you or anyone that claims that the God of Abraham and Jesus is you God not want that something greater.
August 25, 2015 at 11:56 am#802456kerwinParticipantNick,
If you were confident your own words where true then you would know that the Spirit is stronger than the flesh; as with God all things are possible.

I think you are in error here ;for Jesus said ;MT 8:11 “I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;
are you thinking of yourself be with them ?
August 25, 2015 at 3:27 pm#802479NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
God did not glorify human wisdom through Paul.
August 25, 2015 at 5:28 pm#802485kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
1 Peter 1:10Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
Jeremiah 31:31-34Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 but this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hi KW,
God did not glorify human wisdom through Paul.
Your lack of understanding shows or you would not accuse those approved of God of using human knowledge.
Jesus used both implication and logical reasoning to make the point that there is a Resurrection of the dead. Since his wisdom is not human wisdom it follows implications and logical reasoning are not in themselves human reasoning.
When you chose to say they are you accuse Jesus of using human reasoning.
You really should learn to give up lies you have been indoctrinated with.
August 25, 2015 at 6:46 pm#802488NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You continue to confine the wisdom of God within the confines of carnal logic.
Such is folly.
August 26, 2015 at 2:37 am#802492GeneBalthropParticipantNick……You are the one accusing people of using only human logic here, not kerwin, he is right, GOD CAN impute his logic to us through the spirit he has given us, who are you to say that what GOD HAS GIVEN US IS CARNEL REASONING. Have you now yourself become a GOD.?
peace and love to you and yours. ……………gene

Hi KW,
You continue to confine the wisdom of God within the confines of carnal logic.
Such is folly.
You are accusing Jesus of using carnal logic because he used logic.
Is that wise?
August 26, 2015 at 6:42 am#802500NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
When will you let divine wisdom rule?
Why do you judge everything by the mind of man?
August 26, 2015 at 8:26 am#802508kerwinParticipantNick,
I judge by fruit.
When you know that Jesus uses logic and you keep on calling it carnal it is clear that fruit of yours is not good.
Any reasonable person can see it.
You have been blinded to it and I assume it is by what you were taught.
August 26, 2015 at 9:26 am#802511NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
You foundation is human reason.
Surely you can find safer ground?
August 26, 2015 at 10:59 am#802517kerwinParticipantNick,
Does it sound better to claim that Jesus uses human reason than to claim he uses carnal logic?
In either case you are adding to Scripture.
August 26, 2015 at 11:09 am#802518NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Can you not accept that God is in charge?
Raise your sights above the carnal world.
August 26, 2015 at 4:03 pm#802524kerwinParticipantNick,
You are tossing a red herring into the conversation as I accept and welcome God being in charge and there has been no evidence otherwise.
On the other hand you have not found support for the claim that logic is either carnal or even human in nature within Scripture.
You can as soon claim that words themselves are human and carnal with as much truth to the claim.
Like as on logic and reasoning of other types Jesus used them.
His logic, reasoning, or any other words he used were not based on the desires of flesh.
Why do I have to defend his choices from accusations leveled by one that claims to follow him.
August 26, 2015 at 4:36 pm#802527ProclaimerParticipantThe word ‘logic’ is derived from ‘logos’.
August 26, 2015 at 4:39 pm#802528ProclaimerParticipantTo me, it is logical that there is one God, not two, three, or four. It is also illogical to say that there is no God.
Is this carnal thinking or is it what we read in scripture, that no man has an excuse to deny God because the creation speaks of him. Is God’s existence logical and because of that, there is no excuse to deny him? Is it the fool that denies the most basic logic such as there is no God or there is no repercussions for doing bad things?
August 26, 2015 at 6:53 pm#802530kerwinParticipantt8,
I am convinced that living creatures are “clocks” and God is the “Clockmaker”.
I do not know if I could figure out that there was but one God from nature itself.
I do know Scripture teaches us there is but one God that is one person and individuals have to abandon inspired logic to believe that there one God that is two or three persons.
Many have been taught falsely and though they abandon some of the lies of Satan they hold to others as if their salvation or perhaps sanity depend on it.
