Winning cases is uselessness if false teaching ensues. If Jesus was lower than then greater than angels why would you say he was one?[heb]
Nick, the person who wrote Haggai says so.I am only alerting you to where others have written it.
I am not responsible for writing it.

Surely you have not been seduced by the false teachers that visit here working from inference and logic?NEW teachings they offer are not of God.
June 24, 2012 at 10:31 pm#303978ProclaimerParticipantNot a new teaching Nick.
The Book of Haggai predates both of us.
Haggai 1:13
Then Haggai, the LORD's messenger, gave this message of the LORD to the people: “I am with you,” declares the LORD.I accept this. You appear to argue against it.

Yes Mike. It is obviously a closed case.It seems that we are to believe that men are not called malak/angels/messengers/ accept when they are.
Reminds me of the time I debated with Is, when he argued against God being invisible. He basically said that God is invisible accept when he is not.
It does boggle the mind when a person will go to that degree to hold onto their view point.
June 24, 2012 at 10:34 pm#303983NickHassanParticipantHi T8
Was Haggai a prophet?
Was he a man?
Are human prophets messengers? [Mal 2-3]Please answer these questions
June 24, 2012 at 10:35 pm#303984ProclaimerParticipantYes to all of those Nick.

The question is: Are human prophets malaks? The answer is yes. Are spirit messengers malaks? Again, the answer is yes.June 24, 2012 at 10:41 pm#303987NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Are all MALAKS angels?[hint]There are 99 times in scripture when it refers to human messengers-are they all angels?
Would you deny scripture in support of your theory?
June 24, 2012 at 10:42 pm#303988ProclaimerParticipantCorrect. This has been established and Nick has not proven this is not the case.
Nevertheless, we will see where Nick goes with this.June 24, 2012 at 10:42 pm#303989NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Where does the person who wrote Haggai SAY what you claim?June 24, 2012 at 10:43 pm#303990NickHassanParticipantHi MB,

There are heavenly messengers and ones from Earth. They both can be messengers. Seems obvious too.
June 24, 2012 at 10:46 pm#303994NickHassanParticipantHi T8,
And not all are angels seems clear too.
So if scripture identifies them as men and prophets that excludes them from being angels?June 24, 2012 at 10:46 pm#303995ProclaimerParticipantUsually the Hot Seat is for anyone with one person on the Hot Seat. It is not like a debate where you choose who participates.
Yes I did say for Nick and myself. My mistake. But if you want this to be the case Nick, I will honour what I said and make it exclusive to you an myself. In the interest of truth, it would be good to have others input.June 24, 2012 at 10:49 pm#303997NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
But you are not the judge of truth.
You now espouse these NEW false teachings.honour your statement

Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 24 2012,16:48) Hi MB,
Why does the fact that Jesus is a prophet and a messenger prevent him from being higher than the angels? If he was an angel he could not be, not the other way around.
Nick, here is Hebrews 1:4 translated as it should be:
So he became as much superior to theangelsMESSENGERS as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. So tell me how Jesus, as a messenger, could be superior to “the messengers”?
June 24, 2012 at 10:56 pm#304001NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
So your choice is different?
You prefer to muddy the water ?June 24, 2012 at 10:59 pm#304003NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
The words will be substituted throughout your own bible? It raises the question as to whether there are angels at at and if there are how to tell them from human messengers.
God is not a God of confusion but you seem to be authoring some of your own.
June 24, 2012 at 11:02 pm#304004mikeboll64BlockedNick,
An honest and truthful translation would render “messenger” each and every time “makak” or “aggelos” was used in scripture. And then WE could sort out for ourselves whether the messenger mentioned was human or spirit.
But translating it honestly, as “messenger” still leaves you to answer your own question: How can Jesus, as a messenger, be more superior than “the messengers”?
I know the answer. Do you need my help?
