What do you think about fish sacrifices?
January 19, 2019 at 6:03 pm#842897Ed JParticipant“Meat offered to idols, blood and things strangled”… i.e, all meat.
You can believe you are the superior species and that God does not care about the animals, but scripture tells us otherwise. We also know that if the bees vanished the Earth would Deteriorate, but if humans vanished the Earth would Flourish. We are not that important.
Confusion

Ed, go to your fridge, pull out some meat and slice it in half, do you see any blood?
Hi Miia,
It is not talking about that, nor is it talking about eating stake rare.
Says Ed. But what does God say?
January 20, 2019 at 10:43 pm#842911MiiaParticipantWhat do you think about fish sacrifices?
I am undecided about fish.
Jesus ate fish.

So you are confused about the fact that bees are more important to the survival of the planet than humans?
January 21, 2019 at 11:58 pm#842962MiiaParticipantHi Ed.
Humans do nothing but pollute and destroy the planet. The Earth would flourish without us. But even then it’s probably too late because we would leave behind our nuclear weapons, etc.
January 23, 2019 at 12:00 pm#843029Ed JParticipantHi Miia,
So God openly tells us to kill and eat animals, but he secretly is telling us not to.
And openly tells us the earth is going to abide forever, but secretly telling us it won’t.Your ideas are getting stranger and stranger ???

Ed JJanuary 23, 2019 at 9:20 pm#843044MiiaParticipantHi Ed,
No. Scripture tells us that God did NOT say to sacrifice animals (Jeremiah 7:22 etc). Have you never heard of people who attach God to everything they do claiming God told them to do this and that. They followed their own schemes and the nations around them. God sent Jesus to lead them away from animal sacrifices done in God’s name, and he became the bread and the wine, and destroyed the temple.
And yes the Earth is going to be destroyed, as scriptures tell us. But that is off topic.
My ideas are getting stranger according to your opinion? No. Some things are just making sense now.

God told us to subdue the earth but also will judge those who destroy it. And while the earth is precious and as guardians we should take care of it, it is also true that people are far more precious than even the earth.
January 25, 2019 at 11:11 pm#843069MiiaParticipantThat is true t8, but is it not also true that the Earth would flourish without us, and that God also cares for the animals, as can be seen in the scriptures that tell us that not a single bird falls to the ground without the Father’s knowledge? We should each then work to change our lifestyles if we say we are believers in God. The disciples taught us what to do: that we should refrain from meat eating and sexual immorality. Those were the only two conditions given to gentiles. (Yet Paul seemed to say forget about that).

Miia,
Don’t listen to Lucifer whispering in your ear,
Jesus’ disciples didn’t teach not to eat meat.____________

February 6, 2019 at 1:27 am#843281MiiaParticipantSo it’s been two months since I became vegan.
My life has become a challenge ever since, and I take that as a positive sign.
I have re-gained my ability to PRAY. and feel close to God again.
February 7, 2019 at 10:46 am#843297Ed JParticipantHi Miia,
I’m glad you’re doing well.
But please don’t try to change the bible’s message 🙂

Ed JFebruary 8, 2019 at 11:25 pm#843344MiiaParticipantHi Ed.
Thanks for taking part in this conversation. But I’m not changing the Bible’s message.
February 8, 2019 at 11:50 pm#843345MiiaParticipantOne thing I know is that giving up (all) animal products and gaining a different understanding of some of the bible brings… not only testing times but a rekindling to God. It began for me the very moment I came to understand some scriptures and gave up eating animal products. I mean the moment… exactly. If you don’t believe me then try it. Forget what Paul said. My comfortable life has gone.
February 9, 2019 at 4:50 am#843349GeneBalthropParticipantMiia…….do you still eat fish? And if Jesus ate the passover meals, he had to eat lamb meat, right? But I also believe we eat to much meat, at times.
Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene

Hi Ed.
Thanks for taking part in this conversation. But I’m not changing the Bible’s message.
Hi Miia,
oh no???
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and
breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat
with gladness and singleness of heart ” (Acts 2:46)____________

Ed JFebruary 9, 2019 at 10:05 am#843356Ed JParticipantForget what Paul said.
Hi Miia,
Are you claiming Paul’s writings are, according to you, uninspired of God?
Should we disregard everything The Apostle Paul said, and instead listen to you?____________

Ed JFebruary 9, 2019 at 10:09 am#843357Ed JParticipantHi Miia, and Gene,
I found I was healthiest when
I ate meat only twice a week.
No meat drained my energy.____________
