how many scriptures do you have that says “”all is of God “”

and show me the context in which it is said,

and i do not have any will it is God will i do

    terraricca.
I have given you four scriptures in my previous post, do you not read them?  Here they are again  (Ro.11:36, 1Cor.8:5-7, 1Cor.11:12, 2Cor.5:18). Read them yourself to see the context in which they appear.
You also say “and i do not have any will it is God will i do”

Gods will is not a “wish” or a “hope”, and He doesn't need you to do it.  His will WILL BE DONE, it does not depend on you or anyone else to do 'His' will.
As an example see 1Tim.2:3-4  …3 for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Saviour, God,
4 Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.
Do you think He cannot do what He wills?  If you don't believe that He can accomplish whatever He wills, then you havn't read Isaiah 46:10   …All My councel shall be confirmed,
and all My desire I will do.
This is His (Gods) word, do you disbelieve?

    Blessings,  Jerry.

    Jerry,
I feel you are embarassed because of the revelation that you have just witnessed – don't be – be glad – be happy that these things were revealed to you and now you have the chance to walk to road that leads to Life.

There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than in a thousand others who have no need of repentance.

Thank you for reading my post. If we never come head to head again that will be a wonderful thing – else not – Beware – I will not be gentle with you!

But even so, Jerry, Praise Jesus and Fear God.

Thanks JA, what you feel is no concern of mine, I am a sinner , saved by Grace. I have no need to “repent”, Jesus has taken care of that for me, thank God.
You say, “Beware, I will not be gentle with you”. I don't know what you mean by that, I certainly have no fear of what you say, Gods Word comforts me, and should you also, because He (God) is the saviour of all mankind. (1Tim.4:9-11)

    God Bless, Jerry.

Here is my answer… “All my counsel” means Gods plan of action, “shall be confirmed” means gauranteed, shall happen. In one sentence it means… Gods plan of action WILL happen.
God is in complete control, and what “He” wills WILL HAPPEN”, man CANNOT thwart His plan.

Dictionary explanation…advice given especially as a result of consultation b : a policy or plan of action or behavior.

    Hope this satisfies your request.

I agree with what he states on that point but he takes it too far when he denies man has a free will.

Scripture states that Jesus denied his free will in order to subject himself to God's will but even that was a choice.

Kerwin ………Man does (NOT) have a “FREE” Will, He has the liberty to express his (captivated Will) the Words “FREE WILL” is an Oxymoron, because a Will could Not be a WILL if it were “FREE”> think about it.

What Jerry wrote is exactly right IMO.

You are treating the English language too literally in your understanding of the definition of the words “free will”.  What do you think “will” means?  From what I understand it means “desire” though the word “desire” does not exactly fit the definition of “will” in the word combination “free will” as you can chose to something different from what you desire because of an overwhelming priority.  Still you could perhaps say you desire to complete your priority more than you desire to obtain what you yearn for.

    Hi kerwin.
    In Isaiah 46:10-11 God says…
Saying, All my counsel shall be confirmed,
And all My desire will I do.

Indeed, I speak! Indeed I will bring it about!
I formed. Indeed I will do it.

Is there any doubt that God will do what He wants?

He also states in 1Tim.2:4… God wills that all mankind be saved…

In Eph.1:11 that “He (God) is operating ALL in accord with the counsel of His will”. So if our so-called “free will' is opposed to Gods will… whose will will prevail? Is there any doubt? Nowhere in scripture is the term “free will” found.

    God Bless, Jerry.

T8………..God allows this, we are (at LIBERTY) to Express our (CAPTIVATED WILLS) . That does not equal you having a So-called “FREE” WILL (IN) you. There is not such thing as (ANY) WILL Being “FREE”, even GOD'S Will is a (COUNSELED WILL) and so is ours. Nothing “FREE” About ANY WILL. The word “FREE” WILL is an OXYMORON, A WILL CAN NOT BE “FREE” and be a WILL, it MUST have a FORCE Driving it. Your mixing up God allowing us (LIBERTY) to exercise our (CAPTIVATED) WILL'S , with us actually having “FREE” Wills.

peace and love to you and yours…………………….gene
