I've been seeking through all the scriptures, Nick. But now you've enlightened me about only a few of them being “important”.

This is true; Jesus said:
The Words that I speak to you ;they are spirit.
They are LIFE. For it is the spirit that quickened.
Meaning: it is the spirit that will bring us back to live.
The words in us. The spirit of Christ in us.

A spiritually naked person will not be resurrected.
There is nothing to resurrect; just dust.

In the second resurrection all dust will be brought back to live.Not in spirit form,but dust/flesh form,to be judged; according to their deeds in their life time.
We must labour to make it in the first resurrection.
Fill yourselves with the spirit.
