Can you point me to any particular scripture where it is clear that one of Jesus' disciples knew he was actually God Almighty Himself?

    MikeB.

    Yes:

That person was the prophet john.
He was with the Holy Spirit since conception.
And he declared that THE WORD *WAS* GOD.
One need to have deep understanding to comprehend that.
John also said: And the Word **WAS** God. Not *IS*God. The Word WAS God only *before* God spoke anything.

I never said the the Word is God for that would be confusion.

Okay, now I'm all confused by your conflicting statements again.  You are arguing in one thread that we must worship the Word of God because the Word actually IS God.  And then here, you are saying, “I never said that the Word IS God”.

So I need to know:  Did the disciples worship Jesus WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH WITH THEM, because they knew AT THAT TIME that Jesus was actually God Almighty Himself?  YES or NO?

If “YES”, then please show the scripture(s) that supports this claim.

As for your first scriptural support, the words in John 1:1c can also be “and the Word was a god.  So since that scripture can be understood two different ways, please list a DIFFERENT scripture that supports your claim that the disciples knew Jesus was God Almighty Himself – WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH – and therefore worshiped him – WHILE HE WAS ON EARTH.

I must give this one to you; regarding John the apostle.
He wrote the gospel about the Word and about John the baptist.

1.Many rushed to see Jesus: kneeled before him, and called
    Him Lord,and asked for healings.

Just one of the many scriptures:
Matthew 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, ***and worshipped him***, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

    2. Jesus did not reprimand them, for kneeling before Him.
*As the angel did in revelation*.
rev.19:10.–see thou do it not,for I am your fellow servant.

    3. The deciples knew, because they *listened* to Jesus
    speach.
They knew that Jesus is the the Son of God.The Messiah
    sent by God.

One can not Worship God,and just honour his living Word.
This does not make any sense, for God and his Word are ONE.
There is no other god beside God.
The Word of God is not *A* god. He has been *given* power equal to God. We must worship him.

God is almighty, and his Word can not have limitations.

You are talking nonsense just to try to divert.
Thomas knew; he had understanding of what he was saying.

    My Lord=Jesus.
    My God=The Father.

What would you say when some one kneels down and calls you my lord and my god?
Would you say dont do that?
Well Jesus did not forbid him, because He is Thomas's Lord.
*The Lord says* unto *my Lord*; sit thou in my right hand.

The only thing you can say now is that, that was added on by the scribes some centuries ago. Its easy.

    Matthew 9:18 NET ©
As he was saying these things, a ruler came, bowed low before him, and said, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live.”

    NIV ©
While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.”

    NASB ©
While He was saying these things to them, a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”

    NLT ©
As Jesus was saying this, the leader of a synagogue came and knelt down before him. “My daughter has just died,” he said, “but you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand upon her.”

    MSG ©
As he finished saying this, a local official appeared, bowed politely, and said, “My daughter has just now died. If you come and touch her, she will live.”

    NRSV ©
While he was saying these things to them, suddenly a leader of the synagogue came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

As you can see, the majority of the translations DON'T share your and the KJV's view on this scripture.

So, are you saying that this “certain ruler” knew in his heart that Jesus Christ was God Almighty Himself, and it was for that reason that he “worshiped” Jesus?

I need a clear answer, Wakeup. Is that what you believe?

But was Jesus also the Almighty God who created Thomas? What do you say, Wakeup? And if so, do you think Thomas somehow knew that he was staring God Almighty in the face as he was kneeling? And if so, why then did John tell us that no one has seen God at any time?

What would you say when some one kneels down and calls you my lord and my god?
Would you say dont do that?
Well Jesus did not forbid him, because He is Thomas's Lord.

But was Jesus also the Almighty God who created Thomas?  What do you say, Wakeup?  And if so, do you think Thomas somehow knew that he was staring God Almighty in the face as he was kneeling?  And if so, why then did John tell us that no one has seen God at any time?

    Mike B.

Apparently Thomas has more knowledge than you.
He understood that Jesus is the Son of God.
He knew he was not staring at God in the face.
But you dont know, and can not understand.
And refuse to understand the mysteries of God.
I am trying very hard to explain, and you turn it into a mockery.(you are NOT serious).

How can you ever be given understannding with such an attitude?

    wakeup.

Do you think God's word is:
    1.mighty.
    2.almighty.
    3.none of 1 and 2.

    Do you believe God is:
    1.mighty.
    2.almighty.
    3.none of 1 and 2.

All power has been given to the Son.
    Do you think Jesus is:
    1.mighty
    2.almighty.
    3.just a servant.

Angels are commanded to worship the Son:
    1.Does that include us.
    2.does that not include us.
3.we are just to honour him.

    wakeup.
