Hi Georgie, they are synonymous with each other. (2 Cor 5:19 explains John 1:14)

God was  in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us
“The word” of reconciliation.” (2 Cor 5:19)

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.

    Thats right Ed

God's spirit was in Christ. Not a person.
What exactly are you trying to say?

So why is the holy spirit not mentioned if it is a person?

Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the  HolySpirit,
and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own?
and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing
in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto  God.

    That's right Ed,

If they lied to the holy spirit, then they lied to God. The holy spirit comes from God. It's that link we have with him.
If we blaspheme the holy spirit, we blaspheme God, theres no difference because we are putting down that truth that comes from God. The spirit of truth.

But if one does not have the truth in him, then one cannot blaspheme it now can he?

    Hi Georgie,

Is the spirit of you a person?

    God bless

    Hi Ed

Our bodies are the temple of God
    What spirit abides in us?
the spirit of God, or the spirit of the world?

That spirit in us is not a person.  Then you would have to call God a person, which he is not.  He is so much more than that.  His will is inside us, and we listen to that voice.

    Hi Georgie,

It is Mike that calls God a person, not me. …God is an entity, not a person.

    Yes Georgie,

    God's Spirit and God's word are both “GOD”;
like your spirit and your word are both you.

God's spirit is not another person, and
God's word is not another person.
    Is that difficult to understand?

    It doesn't matter Ed.

I don't want to argue or talk about petty things.
If I am unclear in my responses just let me know.
If you are agreeing with me and just sharing scripture then let me know. I don't know what you are trying to say is all. Is there anything in my responses that is contrary to truth?

    Hi Ed

I see what you are trying to say now.  The holy spirit is not a person but it is God because it comes from God.

“In the beginning the holy spirit said let there be light and there was light”

“And the holy spirit called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”

“And the holy spirit saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the holy spirit, and him only shalt thou serve”

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the holy spirit; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a holy spirit, and they shall be to me a people”

It doesn't sound right does it?  The holy spirit has an owner, and this owner is identified ..God
The holy spirit is the power of God. The spirit of truth.
