Yes Gene,
if you are reborn into his body his Spirit can transform your heart and mind.

Knowledge is a vanity if it is not aligned with Wisdom.
Understanding with too if aligned with pathetic logic or human wisdom.
Knowing the Word is truth means we must approach it humbly and let it teach us.
There is no room for expertise for all at best are students hoping to learn .

@Gene,
Do a search on the four “Servant Songs” of Isaiah – Isaiah 42:1–4; Isaiah 49:1–6; Isaiah 50:4–11; and Isaiah 52:13–53:12 is what you will come up with. Did I come up with these as being “songs”, NO. The Jewish and Christian scholarly did, I’m just repeating what they have said. Theses “songs” are taught in both Judaism and Christianity…[Read more]

Desire Truth…….Who told you that it is a “Song” and not a prophesy? Not to say a song can’t still be a prophesy though. I just see where you emphasize the word “song”. as if that makes a difference in the text.
peace and love to you and yours Desire Truth……..gene

Jodi and Nick…….I agree with that also, that’s the way I see it to. When Jesus said you must eat his flesh and drink his blood, that was an allegorical statement. When we understand that when person eats or drinks something they are “taking it into themselves” then we can understand what Jesus was saying, he was telling we must become ex…[Read more]

@ Jodi,
There is no logic involved in what I wrote; I’m simply using rules of grammar and associating the pronouns to who is speaking or being spoken of. This is why it’s extremely important to know who is speaking where in this “song.” I applied your line of thinking that the “our”, “me”, and “my” refer to the apostles (apparently speakin…[Read more]

Since scriptural truth is established in the mouth of scriptural witnesses( 2 Cor 13.1)
we have few backup verses to establish the meaning of this verse as far as I know.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord

1John.5
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
By this we know that we love the children of God,👉 when we love God, and keep 👉his commandments.👈
For👉 this is the love of God, that 👉we keep his commandments:👈 and his commandments are not…[Read more]Nick replied to the topic If the Jews do not believe Jesus is the Christ, is it possible they are correct? in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years ago
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

Hi Nick
For you, the wedding feast takes place in the Air and not in the HEAVEN ?!!!
What does “the Air” mean to you?
Nick replied to the topic John 3, Jesus was Born Again in the forum Scriptural Teachings 3 years ago
Thank you Jodi.
Jesus was a man like us not a preexistent divine being. Born under the Law He showed it was possible to completely fulfil it thus pleasing his Father. He was reborn of water and the Spirit at the Jordan showing us the way we should follow into the kingdom.

Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Sabbath.

The saints are not taken to heaven but to meet the Lord in the Air to partake of the Wedding feast.
Meanwhile the great Tribulation will happen on earth and then the saints will return to earth to reign and rule with the Lord Jesus for 1000 years.

Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those under the Law so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
Rom 3.19
Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6).
Only the Spirit of the living God can take dry bones, dead in trespasses and rebellion against God, and make them spiritually alive.
