    1 Enoch is a book full of “doctrines of demons” (1Tm4:1) and is
    dedicated to satan and his demons. Furthermore, I seriously doubt it was
    written by anybody during Enoch's time; Judas' quote, notwithstanding
    (Ju1:14-15); which will be addressed near the end.

    By his own admission the author admits to only scanning the book yet he comes up with his own conclusions. Basicly he condemns the book! A little research on his part would answers his own questions.

    Hi s,
    It is a book that shakes the cots of the traditionalists with their neat and shallow, comfortable doctrines and so you cannot expect them to grab it with both hands and celebrate.

    Hi s,
    It puts an entirely new slant on the role of the evil “sons of god” who I believe are archangels, cherubs, elders[rev] or princes. Their role in the history of man is highlighted and their corrupting influence shown far more than elsewhere.
    Things spoken of as being in heaven are shown in far more detail, such as Tartarus.
    But if we have been denied it till now God would have had His reasons. Now we have it we should give it due respect too.

    How do you feel about the book? Its either genuine or it`s not.

    Hi soxan,
    My feelings are that it is genuine as shown by the quote in Jude. Also when I read it I get affirmations rather than negations from the Spirit. If you read a book totally foreign to the Spirit, such as the book of Mormon[excluding copied Ezekiel passages] then it jars inside. There is no beauty or order or harmony in them.

    I`m glad to see that you to see as i see! The questions raised by Brandon can easily be explained some of his questions are misleading due to his lack of research to this matter, as he does admit. I hope he looks into this matter more intently.

    After being struck from the Hebrew Scriptures by the Sanhedrin (the council of seventy-one Jewish sages who constituted the supreme court and legislative body of Ancient Israel) at Yavneh c. 90 AD, the book was discredited after the Council of Laodicea in 364; subsequently the Greek text was lost. The latest excerpts are given by the 8th century monk George Syncellus

    Personally based on human nature and the fact that the Sanhedrin had just gotten rid of the last of the twelve disciples of the man that refered to them as the blind leading the blind. A man that they had put to death because of his teachings, which are basically the same as or an extension of what is noted in the book of Enoch.
    That God is lord of the Spirits and resides in a realm they cannot see and have no power over.
    On the same note human nature might play a part due to the fact that Enoch condemns all rulers and rich peoples as well as people who use violence against different believers to cover them up and/or enforce their own teachings.

    Intersting TJ, I'll have to look into Enoch again. Wasn't the book similar to scriptures that Jesus said in the bible or was that another one of the other books like “Gospel of Thomas”?

    Whatever I'm gonna look into it especially since the council of Laodicea outlawed it.
