    Yes, when the earth is supposedly facing the sun with the tilt downward. However, when it is on the other side the tilt is facing upward and would necessarily cause the opposite arc of the sun, basically a smiley face instead of a frowny face. You would have seen that in the video if you watched it.

    You’ll have to prove that because the physics doesn’t allow it. Did you understand what the video was saying? If so why do you disagree with it. Please explain.

    You see on one side the people would be rotating from a higher perspective to a lower perspective. This would cause the sun to appear low on the horizon and then rise and then lower again.

    However on the other side the people would be rotating from a lower perspective to a higher perspective which would cause the opposite arc. In other words the sun would appear high at dawn and then lower and then raise again at “sunset” – essentially a smiley face.

    Unless you have an explanation then you have a huge problem!

    Hi Digger,

    Because up is not up from the spin, but from the angle of the sun.
    And likewise summer is towards the sun, and in winter the tilt is away.
    And like the funnel example, the shadows on the ball earth model show this

    Sorry but they didn’t even come close to an explanation. What is your explanation? Why would the sun necessarily arc in a smiley face pattern on one side of the sun?

    It’s not the angle of the sun because that doesn’t change.

    While you’re trying to come up with an answer for that you could try to explain why the earth is about 3,500,000 miles CLOSER to the sun in winter.

    The tilt doesn’t explain why you get varying sunlight hours? It doesn’t explain how some places get 24 hours sunlight?

    Okay, try this one. It is as easy as it gets to wrap your head around this stuff.

    There are no videos on this subject for babies, so I guess the conclusion is you cannot comprehend it. My advice to you is to know this: your lack of understanding doesn’t make the earth flat. You understand that right?

    And it kinda doesn’t really matter because anyone who comes here and reads this will see clearly how earth experiences varying amounts of sunlight. It’s for them. You merely play your part as the devil’s advocate so to speak so we can refute the lies. Thank you for putting the time in to make this work.

    I think we both can see that Dig is seriously struggling with this. Not sure if we can really converse with him about this stuff. I think Mike can comprehend this. He might be a better person to debate.

    It looks like Buzz almost believes it himself. But I think we know what kind of buzz he’s on.
    And then the vacuum of space takes over.
    What a tremendous day for mankind, gee I wish they didn’t lose all the data. But you know they had to save money and tape over it. $55,000,000 a day just doesn’t go as far as it used to.

    Calling this guy a liar is not befitting for someone who claims to represent the Kingdom of God. Either he is lying in this video or you are telling lies about him.

    They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful. They invent new forms of evil; they disobey their parents. 

    Slanderers and liars are not in good company. I think repentance is in order Dig.

    t8 if you want to know the answer go back and look what I wrote. Otherwise you just sound like a little child who keeps repeating their self over and over because they want to hear something else.

    And as far as the faith-shaming goes there is a well know phrase that says something about “casting the first stone”. You need to get over your hate man. Then take a course in debating.

    D4T:  Right, explain the math you just copied and pasted. And then explain why when it’s within 200 to 600 miles it is very accurate. And then explain why you lost this point.

    I can no longer deal with him, D.  I put it up plain as day and even matched the 8 inch formula with spherical trig and Pythagorean theorem.  I pointed out that we ARE using a parabolic formula to calculate a PARABOLIC curve.  Yet he comes right back with a chart with a blue half circle that makes the same mistake I just corrected.

    NOW HEAR THIS:  Nobody is trying to use the 8 inch formula for thousands of miles around a ball!  We use that formula for a VERY SMALL FRACTION of the ball.  And very small fractions of a ball ARE parabolas!   Here we go again…

    Earth Curve Chart 2

    The top illustration is obviously a ball.  The center image is a section of that ball magnified 10x.  What do we call that downward curving line that I’ve circled in blue?  Yep… that’s a parabola.  How many miles does that parabola go?  1000 miles.  So yes, up to one thousand miles, the curve of the earth (before it starts curving back around itself to form a circle) IS a parabola.  And doesn’t t8’s argument include the “rebuttal” that the 8 inch formula is only valid for parabolas?  HELLO!  We’re using it FOR parabolas!  In fact the diagram that HE posted shows the same exact thing, and even carries it out for the same exact 1000 miles!  Here is the image he posted…

    So if you look at the purple, red, and green lines in HIS post, they all align up to about 800 miles.  Only then does one of the circular lines start to veer from the parabolic line.  And like I keep saying, nobody is using the 8 inch formula for 800 miles!  The farthest anyone has even seen across the earth is 237 miles!

    Please God… please let this sink in this time.
