Does 1 John 5:20 call Jesus the true God?

    Their unity is similar to[eph5] but closer than a marriage

    The human history of the flesh vessel is less important than that of the new creation Jesus Christ, the beginning of the creation of God[rev 3.14].

    Two have become one and you cannot speak of them as individuals.

    The history of the Spirit filled man is the history of the Word.

    1 John 5:20

    20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

    cant you read that?
    the father is called the true GOD
    the son is also called the true GOD

    the father and the son have the same nature , GOD.
    Philippians 2:6

    New International Version (NIV)

    6 Who, being in very nature God,
    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

    the father is truly GOD. the son is also truly GOD.
    that's what the bible says.

    if you agree that your father is truly man, you are also truly man bec you have the same nature, MAN.

    now can you read any single verse that says Christ is not truly GOD?

    give me any single verse.

    John 20:17
    Jesus said………”I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

    God Almighty does not have a God of His own, jammin.  Jesus does.

    So while that verse doesn't spell out the words “Christ is not truly GOD”, the meaning is clear that Jesus, whose God is also our God, is not the the God who is his own God.  Or do you think Jesus IS his own God?  ???

    Also, the word “christ” refers to one who has been anointed BY God.  I roll my eyes each time I read you claim that the Christ OF God is the very God who anointed him.   ???

    If we have but ONE Almighty God, and that ONE is also Jesus' own God, then how can Jesus be that God?  ???

    Jesus can't BE his own God, can he?

    almighty refers to the nature of GOD.
    Christ is GOD by nature, he is almighty!

    Hi Jammin, this happened at “Pentecost“. When do YOU believe John 14:23 was fulfilled?

    John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words:
    and my Father will love him, and “WE” will come unto him, and make “OUR” abode with him.

    Jesus came with the cloud of witnesses in verse 7 of rev 1. (see Hebrews 12:1)
